I got both mail and text twice. Training commences on monday but the challenge is the compulsory N5,500 thing. Could it be a scam?

I GOT A TEXT MESSAGE FROM INTERN ACAD, AND THEY TOLD ME TO COME FOR TRAINING AND THE VENUE IS IMPERIAL HOTELS ALAUSA IKEJA.
THEY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD CHECK MY E MAIL FOR DETAILS BUT I DID NOT GET ANY E MAIL. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE TRAINING WILL START ON MONDAY. AND I DONT STAY IN LAGOS.
PLEASE DID ANY MEMBER GET THIS MESSAGE TOO?
PLEASE REPLY.

I received this mail this morning, has anybody received such message? and does anybody knows if this people are reliable or just another scam.

It's not a scam. The 5,500 naira is to cover the cost of Refreshments, training venue fees for the duration of the program.

mikeujoel, how did you know it is not a scam?Though,I stay in Lagosbut currently in Imo state.Life is all about risk but never rush into any, my believe.I received a text message too.Am confused of what to do.

thanks nin, I was convinced when I revisited the website and my friend did encourage me to go.I must go.
Whether It's a scam or not, I've never seen a company charge applicants for training, no matter what they give them, some evn go as far as lodging them in big hotels plus feeding & materials afterall,, u'll work for them.
Be wise my friends, many scams are made successful by gullible job seekers out of their desperation ( we can't blame them too)
