Position: HR Manager

Job description:

• Establishment, deployment and implementation of a credible Performance Management System for my organization.
• Management of employee relations- oversees industrial labor relations, negotiates collective bargaining agreements, and coordinates grievance procedures to handle complaints resulting from management disputes with unionized employees.
• Compensation and benefits -Interface with finance department in the preparation of monthly payment for all categories of staff; devise ways to ensure fair and equitable remuneration.
• Conduct surveys to ensure that organization’s pay scale complies with changing laws and regulations.
• Management of firm’s performance evaluation system and design reward systems such as Individual Performance Factor (IPF).
• Job analysis- collection and examination detailed information about job duties preparation and of job descriptions. These descriptions explain the duties, training, and skills/competences required for each job.
• Recruitment, Employment and Placement-Supervision of the process including but not limited to justifying the need for the position, performing a position analysis, advertising position, conduct searches, screen applicants, arrange interviews, conduct reference checks and make employment offers.
• Ensures that staff understands and comply with company policies, procedures and processes.
• Maintain an up to date records for all categories of staff using Personal Management System and d-Wise software.
• Management of employees in the daily administration of all services and activities of the Human Resources Department including recruitment, classification and compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, worker’s compensation, general liability and safety programs.
• Negotiates and resolves sensitive and controversial issues including employee relations, grievances and complaints. Conducts investigations into allegations of violations of company policies, including improper activities, and misconduct.
• Conducts and/ or oversees salary and benefit surveys. Performs complex analysis and provides oral and written recommendations regarding salary adjustments, reclassifications, reorganizations, and related matters.
• Provides administrative staff support with labor negotiations. May serve as lead on the company’s negotiating team.
• Participates in the administration of labor agreements providing advice and recommendations to the departments.
• Administers staff pension scheme including worker’s compensation, general liability and other insurance programs. Makes recommendations regarding claims handling and actions to reduce future loss exposure. Participates in the review of insurance plans and recommends coverage revisions.
