Topic: Vacancies in a Reputable Construction Company

Due to increased activity and recent project awards, a wholly independent privately owned company with ISO 9000 certification is expanding operations and seeking to recruit experienced construction engineers for commercial, residential and public works infrastructure projects. The company is seeking well qualified and experienced engineers, in key discipline, who are confident, capable of understanding and meeting clients needs and are used to working within a professional construction team to fill the position below:

1. Workshop Technical Assistant (1)

Requirement

•The candidate will Maintain maintenance record(cost and activity) on all Assets,
•Ensure execution of planned maintenance, Generation spare parts requisition, Cerate, and communicate Job Orders,
•Follow up and close all job orders, Keep inventory of workshop tools.
•The candidate for this position must be a holder of a minimum of HND in with demonstrable experience of at least 5 years working in similar position for a reputable firm.

2. Surveyors (3)

Requirement

•The candidates for this position must hold minimum of HND in Quantity Surveying with demonstrable 3 years working in similar position for a reputable firm.
Candidates for any of the position/trades must be able to work both independently and as a team and go anywhere in the country where they are deployed.

3. Project Quantity Surveyor (1)

Requirement

•Minimum of 5 years on experience on construction work, especially Road Construction projects.
•The candidate for this position must be a holder of a minimum of HND in Quantity Surveying and a member of NIQS will be an added advantage.

4. Senior Estimator (1)

Requirement

•The candidate for this position must be a holder of a minimum of HND in Quantity Surveying with demonstrable experience of at least 5 years working in similar position for a reputable firm.

5. Master Mechanics (3)


Requirement

•Minimum of 5 years hands on experience on CAT equipment or Mark trucks or light vehicles
•The successful candidate should be able to use computerized diagnostic equipments and have supervisory skills.
Other Positions:

Candidates with related qualification(s), skills and requisite experiences are required for the following position/trades: Machine/Plant Operators, Form-work Design & Construction, Truck / Low bed Drivers, Fleet Officer, Generator Mechanic, Auto Electrician, Mechanics (Mack Trucks or CAT Equipments), Procurement Officer, Legal Officer.

Candidates for any of the position/trades must be able to work both independently and as a team and go anywhere in the country where they are deployed.

6. Special Engineering Manager:

Requirement

•5-10 years experience in Industrial engineering or similar position, knowledge of CAT equipments and Mark trucks will be an added advantage. (Local or Expatriate)

7. Workshop Managers (2)

Requirement

•5-10 years experience in similar position, knowledge of CAT equipments and Mark trucks will be an added advantage. (Local or Expatriate).

8. Plant Managers (2):

Requirement

•The candidate must have a good university degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,
•Should have 5-10 years experience in similar position working for a construction company within Nigeria.
•Construction Yard management experience will be an added advantage. (Local or Expatriate)

9. Project Accountants (2)

•The candidates for this position should be able to work with minimal supervision.
•The successful candidate must be a holder of a good university degree or equivalent and a professional accounting qualification,
•Should have a minimum of 2 years post professional qualification experience in similar position.

10. Highway Engineers (5)

Requirement

•Candidates should be able to work with minimum supervision on road construction sites.
•At least a HND in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years hands on active experience in a road construction industry.
•Candidates must be able to demonstrate sound theoretical knowledge of engineering analysis and designs in their respective disciplines.

11. Project/Field Engineers (10)

Requirement

•Candidates should be able to work with minimum supervision on construction sites.
•At least a HND in Civil/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years hands on active experience in a civil construction industry.
•Candidates must be able to demonstrate sound theoretical knowledge of engineering analysis and designs in their respective disciplines

12. Project Managers (5):

Requirement

•The successful candidates must possess a university degree or HND in Civil Engineering
•Should have a minimum 8 years post qualification experience as the project manager in-a reputable construction company.
•Candidates must be hardworking, posses drive and energy with good leadership qualities and COREN and NSE registered.
•Ability to use MS Projects will be an added advantage.
