Metering Engineer

Technical Requirements:

1. A good working knowledge of liquid and gas metering system design and principles of operation.

2. Capable of preparing re-certification, operating and maintenance procedures and supervising their implementation. Able to monitor and control meter system performance.

3.Familiar with all relevant API, AGA, BS, ISO and other relevant standards and codes of practice.

4. Experienced in the preparation of specifications for metering system equipment and instrumentation.

5. Good level of communication skills.

6. Must be able to perform work safely while complying with all HSE policies and procedures


Key Tasks:


• Preparation of specifications for new metering systems and upgrading of existing systems.

• Preparation of re-certification, operating and maintenance procedures for oil and gas metering equipment.

• Carrying out of measurement quantity & quality system equipment and data audits / inspections / surveys to check compliance with relevant standards, codes of practice and client requirements.

• Provide assistance in the preparation of bid documents for client quotations.


Qualifications:

BSc-Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Applied Physics.

Possess a minimum of 1 year post-graduate experience in a similar position in a reputable company



Field Technician

Technical requirements:

1. A good working knowledge of P&ID, schematic and wiring diagrams
2. Capable of calibrating field instruments such has pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters ,RTD’s , pressure gauges e.g.
3. Working knowledge of test instruments e.g. Hart communicator, dead weight tester, temperature bath, Fluke instruments, Druck calibrator etc.
4. Familiar with all relevant IP, API, AGA, BS and ISO standards and codes of practice.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Competency with teamwork skills and working with various well site and facility flow process equipment and component.
7. Must be able to perform work safely while complying with all HSE policies and procedures


Key task:

• Install, maintain, repair, overhaul, calibrate and test a wide variety of industrial
instrumentation that record, indicate, control and regulate level, flow, pressure,
temperature, position and water analysis.
• Carry-out periodic maintenance on all company equipment
• Make estimates of labor, materials, and supplies as necessary for the performance of
• specific assignments.
• Preparation of re-certification, operating and maintenance procedures for all test equipments.

Qualifications:

HND-Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation.

Possess a minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience in a similar position in a reputable company


Technical Services Supervisor


Role:

Accountable for supervising, organizing and coordinating the Engineering & Construction design and support activities in accordance with the requirements of the Contract. Provide effective interface management between management and the technical team.
Responsibility:
• The direction, control, monitoring, supervision and co-ordination of the engineering in accordance with the project, statutory requirements and applicable engineering standards ensuring a consistent design philosophy and standards by the engineering disciplines.
• Promote effective communication and challenge within the engineering disciplines in order to foster the production of safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and constructible designs.
• Provide technical leadership and decision making for engineering work carried out by the project team.
• Manage the engineering resource and ensure that all engineering discipline sections are adequately staffed with appropriately qualified personnel.
• Ensure that long lead and critical packages are properly managed by the responsible disciplines. Ensure technical compliance, cost control and scheduling of engineering packages.
• Set standards and ensure a common approach to engineering work.
• Ensure design, safety reviews and audits are carried out in accordance with the approved project procedures and plans and ensure that they are closed-out in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of project plans, schedules and estimates.
• Control of all documents (document reception and transmission, input to project system, document numbering, control of tag numbers, close-out, as-building.)
• Where appropriate, spearhead initiatives aimed at developing an innovative and cost saving approach to engineering work.
• Review and agree budgets and estimates produced by lead discipline engineers for design changes and additional work-scopes. Engineering manager is responsible for challenging the necessity of these changes, and implementing more cost effective solutions if possible.
• Act as the focal point for monitoring and progressing the Training and Development Plans for the engineering team including sponsoring new recruitment initiatives.
• Review of all job progress, and report engineering progress on a weekly basis.
• Ensure that engineering work is managed and executed in accordance with the agreed budget and plan.
• Ensure that all design changes are captured by the change control process.
• Implement the project interface management process and ensure it is operated effectively by the project team.
• Manage internal interfaces between the company management and the engineering team, ensuring all interfaces are adequately addressed.
• Effective networking throughout the organization to ensure best practice utilization.
• Provide follow-on and construction support once detailed design is complete
• Responsible for ensuring complete close-out / as-building of all engineering documentation


Skills/Qualifications

Experience of working with processes and procedures in an engineering or project engineering role. A clear understanding of our design challenge process, management of change and interfaces with project controls, Quality and Procurement functions.
He must have an ability to manage a vast team whilst maintaining a tight control of the design, cost and schedule of the engineering and design deliverables as well as meeting management deliverable expectations.
Demonstrate clear ability to express oneself orally as well as in writing and to be able to brief the client and management team on engineering matters.
He must be a leader who can express a sense of urgency amongst his team in order to meet schedule targets and a negotiator who can challenge and investigate while demonstrating a clear understanding of financial responsibility on behalf of his position and that of his team.
Proven experience in design, construction and general project management within the Oil and Gas Industry.
A previous experience in either a discipline Lead or Project Management role would be advantageous.
Possess a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience
Membership of Nigeria Society of engineers and COREN registration will be an added advantage.
