As for when the successful candidates will start, I'm suspecting that it will be next year ending. Some guys who were successful in SITP written in 2008 are yet to start the programme . Due to the recession in 2008/09 plus the problems in the Niger-Delta, they reduced the number of candidates who were to be trained (from 100 or 120 to about 40) and the programme should end in July/August 2010. This means that the remaining 60 to 80 candidates will be trained for 2010/11.

I wish to state at this point that I do not know what Shell has in mind. Anyway, time will tell! Other contributions are welcome

i wonder where some of us get our infos.
the present trainees in shell Edjeba are 74 to be precise, to complete training by August. if ure sucessful in d just concluded test, u could be considered for the nxt batch, batch 15, after d interview/medical process later dis year. thr's no awaiting list/batch 4 sitp1.
Anyway, anythg cn happen.

well, wuldn't blame anyone whose blood is hot. After all Jamb results get released after 5 working days and we know guys have been waiting for this test. Lets not under rate our very Nigerian and Amiable Shell Coy. They can even release the results sooner than expected. We all know their worth, and that it is one of the First Class Multinationals we've got on this continent. .. Give it all to SHELL NIGERIA

hmmm..........ifecoera, let me add to your list of acolades for shell

and the major oil coy that have suffered most in the hands of the niger delta miliitants......
with all these acolades wey u give them, they shd recruit u strait without any interview.

jokes apart, shell is a very good coy but we just need to beg our niger delta brothers to stop attacking their facilities so that their recruitment will be stable every year

Guys I am not sure that those 2008 left overs will be considered again. Maybe Shell will adopt ExxonMobil style of dumping ppl.

As for the successful candidates for this just concluded test, expect to start this year.

i think otherwise. Got a friend who didn't make the last batch but was successful with the SRD and other interviews. i confirmed from him that his appointment is still open and they'll probably join this new batch...i mean our batch by His Grace. Shell is considerate and in my opinion, they understand the language of Nigerians better.
