Responsibilities:
a.) The Senior Cost Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates in-line with Shell guidelines,local norms,and guidance from Cost Estimating Team Lead. He or She will also perform verification of data provided by the Engineering disciplines.

b.) The senior cost estimator will especially support SNEPCO projects through their front-end maturation phases,and be a major contributor to service delivery by the SNEPCo's Deepwater Projects Estimating Team that include:

  • Scope & Strategy Definition
  • Prepare Cost Estimates
  • Develop Counter Estimates
  • Benchmarking
  • Owners Cost Estimates
  • Cost Risk Analysis (Deterministic / Probabilistic)
  • Operational Expenditure Estimates
  • Well Estimates
  • Verification and approval of Inputs & Assumptions
  • Support during contract negotiations
  • General estimating services/help during any phase of any project
  • Estimate and Schedule Assurance Reviews


Requirements:

  • A Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree, with minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience
  • At least 8 years experience in a major project environment (offshore experience is preferred, but not required)
  • Working knowledge of a broad range of cost estimating systems, tools and practices
  • Strong technical background with understanding of Engineering processes and drawings
  • Association for the advancement of Cost Engineering certification(AACEI) is an advantage
  • Commitment to HSSE.
  • Ability to deal with multiple, often conflicting, goals and priorities.
  • Should have strong team-working skills.
  • High degree of self motivation with a proven track record in achieving stretching personal and business goals.
  • Demonstrate ability to mentor and coach less experienced staff.
