MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Marketing & Business Development
Job Title: Marketing/Business Development Manager
Reporting to: Managing Director.
Business Objective: To generate and develop sales of up to TBD per annum
The Company: Tranos designs, manufactures and installs complex mechanical, electrical and process systems for heavy industrial and high technology clients
Core Working Relationships: Managing Director, Project Manager, HR Manager, Executive Assistant, Senior Mechanical Engineers
Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
· Assessment of marketing opportunities.
· Generating leads for possible sales.
· Gathering intelligence on customers and competitors.
· Follow-up on sales opportunities.
· Bid preparation and proposal writing.
· Keep up to date with industry trends and competition.
· Proactively keep in touch with important prospects
· Will be responsible for bringing in a minimum amount of business per quarter based on a detailed plan.
· Develop marketing materials like brochures and presentations
· Work with colleagues in the preparation of quotations and responding to RFQs.
· Have a thorough and in-depth understanding of company’s products and services.
· Responsible for developing opportunities in targeted industry sectors, such as oil & gas.
· Come up with marketing strategies.

Requirements
· A first degree in a numerate discipline.
· At least 8 years post NYSC experience.
· Must be proactive
· Must have a good knowledge of the oil and gas industry procurement process. Knowledge of other industries, in addition, is a plus.
· An understanding of basic engineering processes will be an advantage
· Must be good in written communication and presentation.
· Must be dedicated, responsible and able to work under pressure.
· Must fit well into the company’s teamwork oriented culture
