pal, dnt really v dt info cos i'v nt got up o dt stage wit Slumb yet....bt tink ds info cd hlp odas hlp u...wen did u write d test n interview, v odas u wrote n was interviewd wit been called.....did collect any of dia info....wateva happens, just hold up,stay affloat. God is working underground for u.

Pls house who kn how dem dey recruit, is it 4 OND, HND, BSC or Master, and deir website. Thx

as far as Schlumberger is concern you can wait for the next one year and not be contacted, the most amazing thing about dem is dat wen u r not expecting dem is wen dey call you for medicals and mostly the company most of the time doest have vacancy at the moment, but hoping that dere will be one in some months to come and they call dose on there awaiting list. this means dey recruit in advance for d next post dat will be likely to b available.

The schlumberger recruitment was due to an opening in a segment called wireline.I spoke with the recruiting officer when one of my guys sent me a mail trying to reach me as at the time they were writing the test.The test is for both HND and B.Eng holders.The HND guys will be recruited as Field Specialist y the B.Eng guys will be recruited as field Engineers.They both write the same test.For now successful candidates will be invited to proceed on the interveiw.There will be invitation to write another test but the date is not specified yet.

This question was asked during the last test (28 june 2010 at PH) which I was part of.
The recruiter said that schlum has many dept outlet (eg western geco or sth) ,and that is when any of these depts need extra staff is when they call people on their waiting list for employment.
That goes to insinuate that a fellow you had interview same day with could be employed while you wait.It all
depends on when your dept wants you.


To be invited for text,you must have account with them one,two you must have 2.1

First of all, create an account with them in their website www.slb.com, choose your area of intrest. Your information will be stored in their data base for a period of 24 months. They have the best database in the world. If you meet their criteria, when an opportunity comes out you will be invited for a test, interview follows if you pass. Invitation for interviews depends on what they want, so it may take some time or it may be urgent. One thing you have to note is that, they call when you least expect them. So always be prepared.

They go mostly for 1st Class, 2.1, Distinction, and Upper Credit.

So guys, if you have not been called yet, never lose hope. It maybe be tomorrow...

Schlumberger has an attitude of keeping candidates unattended to for too long. My experience was that, I went to through the recruitment process in Nov. 2007. I neither got a regret nor an offer. I tried severally to reach the reachable in the HR and all I could get was 'WAIT'. It's almost 3 yrs now, and it has not done on they to speak to me.

Keep on Trusting in God. They may call when you least expect it. It has happened to some that way.

yeah the will call when you least expected just keep your fingers crossed and keep your faith standing..
