the right thing is BOSIET - Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training and not BOISET. In most cases, the company employs you and get you certified, that is, for offshore based jobs, but you can go ahead and do it yourself just to have an edge.

@thank 4 the explanations, pls where can i get trainned 4 BOSIET Certification. Recently i have been applying 4 oil and gas jobs and believed this certification will boost my chances.

If i can rmemeber very well, Bellisimo hotel lekki, lagos behind chevron villa. Its abt $1700. It encompasses general HSE, fire fighting, safety induction, HEUT(helicopter emergency underwater training) first aid, etc its a three days stuff. There is a coy inside the hotel approved by OPITO UK, that will giv you everytin U̶̲̥̅̊ want. Success.

I hope this will not turn out to be like the recent MOBIL drilling supretendent.

@XCALITY, Thanks so much for the information, my bros ,this is quite an expensive training($1700, about 272000naira thereabout) for a job seeker. Is there any assurance that one will get the job ever with the training. i,m thinking...

HOUSE, can you please advise me, if it is reasonable to raise such an amount of money($1700) and go for the trainning(BOSIET), i,m an HND graduate with one year experience in diesel generating plant maintanance. i desire an oil and gas related job. expecting ur reply.

i suggest u try n focus ur resources on ur most pressing nids. on d other hand, if if u han sum1 is is supporting u financially in sch n u can raise d cash urself wiit d desire dat it(d training) is top of ur scale of prefrence, den it's ok.but i will advise u think thoroughly bb4 taking n action bcos d dos is easy 2 spend but not dat easy 2 earn wen 1 is just starting life.
