Responsibilities

  • Provides entry level quality assurance/quality control support to the Subsea division related to the implementation and administration of processes including QN’s, SN’s traceability and data analysis (Pareto analysis) in addition to other projects assigned. Communicate with all levels of FMC personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations. Ability to identify issues and propose solutions through a working knowledge of process improvement and problem solving techniques, some knowledge of root cause analysis process etc. Maintain the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast paced environment. Becomes proficient in assigned areas and continuously meets or exceeds quality, safety and production targets.


Main Tasks

  • Receives request to open QN’s, or SN’s, will determine the cause in contact with Engineering issue and track closing of QN’s; reviews MTR (Material Test Report) and compares to the DBI (Data Base Information) to determine dimension specifications, measurements and tests required to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Reviews materials and reviews MTR (Material Test Report) and compares to the DBI (Data Base Information) to determine dimension specifications, measurements and tests required to ensure quality and customer satisfaction when required to gather for data books. Inspects product in accordance to the requirements of the DBI and sometimes uses micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other measuring devices.
  • Verifies inspection results, complete reports and related documentation or data entry in an accurate and timely manner. Reports nonconforming product to the appropriate person.
  • Learns to assist in Follow-Up and investigation on CAR’s and Non-Conformance Reports, after training and when required. Records results in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assists MRB (Material Review Board) in resolving problems with non-conformance, after training and when required
  • Works in a safe manner and practices good housekeeping in work area and properly disposes of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
  • Keeps abreast of latest trends and technology related to quality functions. Identifies and suggests ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.


Requirements

  • High National diploma or equivalent with 8 years related administrative experience or new graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science, or a related field with zero to two years professional experience applying fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in quality field.
  • Previous internship experience preferred in quality field, but not required. Knowledge/experience in documentation, process flow, and file retrieval and storage systems including hardcopy is a plus.
  • Excellent ability to problem solving and handles many diverse tasks simultaneously and works with interruptions and large volume of data and paperwork. Attention to detail required.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications, including intermediate program functions in MS
  • Office such as word processing, spreadsheets, excel, and other software where applicable such as Micro soft projects. SAP or other related mainframe systems exposure a plus but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of FMC personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations.
