Job Position: Project Manager, Construction

Report Line: GM, Operations


Position Summary:
The Project Manager will report directly to the GM, Operations. S/he will be responsible for the safe completion of projects within the budget, on schedule, to the company’s quality standards, and to the customer’s satisfaction. It is his/her responsibility to initiate any action required to achieve the above objectives and insure that all project activities are consistent with the company policy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for the day-to-day construction management of large and complex projects.
  • Manage daily activities of project construction personnel including technical support.
  • Responsible for the technical success of the project with due regard to project budget
  • Manage Project Engineers and/or Project Engineers to achieve project objectives.
  • Identify and solve complex problems, uses a broad perspective and resources inside or outside the project team to develop solutions, ensuring consistency with the project objectives.
  • Responsible for construction phase of planning and execution of a project. To plan, and direct the construction effort and formulate the most cost-effective plan for timely completion within budget and to lead the execution of that plan.
  • Lead the construction effort and be the construction representative of the company.
  • Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's Degree (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology etc)
  • Minimum 8years of experience in a Construction environment.
  • Strong Construction experience
  • Ability to build rapport with and gains respect from people with varied experience and background.
