This course has been designed to meet ASME syllabus for process piping design per ASME 31.3 to provide minimum knowledge or skills required to become a piping designer or an inspector. Also, to enhance career into piping sector, oil refineries, power and chemical plants, etc. After completing this course, candidates should understand the Responsibilities of Owner, Designer, Manufacturer, Fabricator, Erector, and Owner’s Inspector, piping components, materials, specifications, fluid services, safeguarding, limitations of piping components & joints, pipe supports, design conditions and criteria; how to design piping components, perform flexibility analysis (manual and CAD-optional), design for sustained and occasional loads, pipe fabrication, assembly and , perform leak testing, examine pipe failures and causes, etc.
