Broda, in our country today, securing a job is mostly based upon who u know. I'd advice that u you pay him a visit or better still, your parents do it on your behalf since they know him better afterall you have nothing to lose. Dats my view

I believe in the formal interview you should behave formally to avoid any embarrassment for both of you after the interview you can greet him later

I buy the ideas of all these guys, i believe its good to behave formally during the interview and afterwards, proceed to greet him at the end of the interview if he has the time, or ask your parents to do so.
