The economic relevance of the Hydrocarbon(HC) reservoir requires the use of robust softwares to predict subsurface reservoir formation and its ability to hold AND PRODUCE Hydrocarbon.3D static reservoir modelling generates a comprehensive geological model that honors ’ the input data and can be used to predict porosity,permeability,and hydrocarbon distribution in a reservoir.
This will also be used as input for dynamic simulation FOR HISTORY MATCHING AND reservoir production prediction. Software like Petrel seismic-to
simulation software , eclipse PROSPER AND MBAL can perform this functions using standard
algorithms. THESE softwares developed by Schlumberger and Petroleum Experts is widely used by Sschlumberger,Mobil ,Shell ,NNPC,TOTALFINAELF and other oil companies involved in drilling ,exploration and production.thESE ARE working tools for the geologist and reservoir engineer.
