Looking at the issue,I don't think this recuitment was targeted on PIB bcos when PIB is passed,if God says it will see the day's light at NA.NNPC would have waited 4 PIB to be passed b4 the advert, b4 calling the 1st batch bcos as soon as PIB is passed this recruitment will go with NNPC, new major companies NOC, NGC emerge with new laws , new managemnet, new HR.What NNPC did was to tell the whole world that they had changed in their operations (see how they described the exercise in the induction,as transparent in the history of NNPC) bcos all eyes are on them now.

Though the 1st batch was not totaly merit and 100% transparent which we had deduced from the facts we read on this forum and dailies. The waiting list to supplement the short-falls in the 1st batch will not be made public as the 1st batch if we look at things criticallyand think very well.In fact nothing like induction, just calls for letters , do documentation, go and join them in training or get posted if non-technical.That's the reason we are saying we need hard prayers for God's favour.

Hmmmmmm, what a great day, @JA congratulations, wish u the best, atleast we learn everyday, some mock at any opportunity they had, atimes I smile and ignore them, my people God's power is beyond human conception, whatever you do, you will surely meet HIM at the exit. It’s not about Abraham’s faith. It’s about God’s power. God says, "You know how powerful I am? I can make you do anything I want no matter how stupid – even kill your own son because I’m everything and you’re nothing". JESUS ARMY made some efforts which some people here laugh and think was funny, some people called us redundant fellows just because we kept faith, remember God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation . .... atonement for human sin, so that those who by faith accept this atonement shall rejoice.congratulations once again JA, I pray for each and every fellow on this thread a chance in the second batch. I salute the courage of BB1 we all appreciate you, major contributors, you know yourselves,I dey salute, united we stand. With and without NNPC we remain friends. God bless you.

@bb1: I think atomicity may be right concerning the interview. Remember he said there's a 2nd batch and then a waiting list; and it's the waiting list that will be called for interview. Depending on the organization, they could have prepared a list of candidates to be called for interview in case those originally called do not perform well in the interview or something makes them unfit or insufficient (may be in number). It could be comprised of those who passed the test within a range of marks just below the original cut-off. This may actually be what waiting list means. 2nd batch is 2nd batch not waiting. Whatever it is, we shall soon hear the trumpet of joyful celebration amidst us. Can I hear someone shouting a loud Amen?

    Thanks for the info.
it was for I.T. positions, financial systems and policy, operations, economic policy positions.
though the I.T. guys wrote theirs last month, other fields of application wrote theirs on saturday.
Remember the Guardian Newspaper of sometime in February, and the publication on their website, those are the applications they are calling for.
    ALL THE BEST.

Northern Governors Set To Kill PIB Posted: August 27, 2012 - 16:21
    Posted by siteadmin

There are indications that governors of Nigeria’s Northern states may have made up their minds to reject the proposed Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB), now before the National Assembly, as they believe that it is intended to take care of the Niger Delta alone.
The governors have already set up a committee, headed by Ahmed Mosur, to study the proposed bill and its implications for the people of the region. It has 90 days within which to submit a report.
At the weekend, the Chairman of the Northern States Governors Forum, Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, stated that the northern governors have identified many provisions in the draft bill that are detrimental to the people of the region.
Speaking last Friday when he received traditional rulers in the state who paid him a Sallah visit at his residence, Aliyu said the people of the zone would need to study the bill before taking a position on it, noting that they had noticed “many things” that will affect them negatively and that those things needed to be discussed.
“We need to understand how to approach our members in the national and state assemblies. When issues like that come up, we need to discuss it so that the interest of our people who elected us will be protected,” he said.
Our investigations reveal that one of the sore points for Northerners is the granting of more powers to the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, which is recommended in the proposed bill.
If passed as it is, she will also become the chairman of the boards of plum parastatals in the Ministry, as well as the boards of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, the National Petroleum Assets Management Corporation and the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF), over which she will exercise enormous powers to scrap, whenever she likes.
Furthermore, under the terms of the bill, whose drafting she supervised with President Goodluck Jonathan, she will directly supervise the Petroleum Technical Bureau and the Upstream Petroleum Inspectorate, and recommend its officials for appointment.
In addition to all this, the zone is also angry at a provision for the setting up of a Petroleum Host Community Fund to which all oil companies will pay 10 per cent of their profit from upstream activities.
An influential politician from the region said, “This section will make several billions of Naira available for the development of the Niger Delta, in addition to the funds provided to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Ministry of Niger Delta. You can see that the country is finished. That bill is meant to take care of the people of Niger Delta alone. We won’t support it.”
