@adumamama,i bliv u r rung abt d result verification stuff n JA is ryt.result verification only coms afta letter n it is done samulteneously wit police clearance on furgery,cultism,exam malpractice etc, and oda national/international crimes as a citizen of naija.so since police clearance is stil pendin,dat also means result verification is pendin.ONLY MULTINATIONALS verify result b4 offer letter.n nt even all of dem.cheers.wish u guys luck.

@modsquad,no offer letter in any organisation wil state dat ur result wil b verified.we all knw dis bcus we hav knowledge of d proces involve in recruitment proceses.which in som case,many dont knw.result verification is secrecy 2 every HR of al organisation.i beta cal it an undaground move.infact,u wil only knw ur result hav bin verified if u or any of d new recruits has irregularities.@JA, baba i salute u.also 4d medicals,legally u r nt supos 2b droped cus dat is stigmatisation bt na naija we dey o.u can b droped if u r medicaly nt fit or u pose danger 2 oda staff.al d organisation is nt cal u 4 ofa leta.or even afta d ofa leta,flimsy excuses r given n u r gone.bt dey wil neva tel u,u'v bin droped on medical grounds
I tend to agree with Adu. This is not Alchemy.
1. Ashaka Security does not do that see their website http://ashakasecurity.com/main/index.html . They are more powerful firms
2. Are they vetting what? The only thing you can vet now is academic records you cannot be vetting the employment history of someone who has not even joined you or resigned. Imagine sending an inquiry to Shell HR about a GT in Shell who would not even take up the job.
3. All those months it took so what where they doing? is it dying minute they knew the qualifying candidates?
4. On medicals, some in 2006 did theirs months after they had resumed in their SBUs.

@Surj, I have worked in 3 banks. In each offer , it was listed. There is no secrecy. They tell you so that when you are sacked you know it. Even they even go to extent of saying satisfatory reference repsonses.

Is it only FBN, FBN is not as strict as where I work. They sack for Age too. Your age must correspond in all your records. I know all these , but the person must be with you first.

You cannot have one age in FBN in 2001, now have another one in 2006 in UBA and have another one in secondary school and have another in University.Also emplyment history , you cannot pad your experience and achievements. If they start vetting people now, your current employer might even sack you. It has happened. That is my point. Say I am a FBN staff, NNPC sends inquiry while I am yet to resume or pick the offer. HR will call me definitely. It has happened before. disloyalty
