Haba! Dat's insulting now! We all knw d guy commits alot of grammatical blunders, let's just take him 4 who he is. There's nothing u can do on dis forum 2 improve his ability, instead your steps would amount 2 insults. D most important thing is dat we r all getting his messages. Mind u, his fluency has little 2 do with making 2-1 (especially in Engineering) or passing d test. Though goes a long way @ d interview stage but God's favour matters most. So asking us 2 remind u if d guy makes d list is unacceptable. Meanwhile, please try ur best 2 improve on ur written & spoken english 2 an acceptable standard @ least Vin20, it'll help u alot. God bless NHJ, God bless NNPC, God bless Nigeria!

May God bless Vin20. I like him for his boldness. Perhaps he knew before now that his speaking of english is not too good. With time on forum like this he will improve. Being part of this forum i have gain some things; atleast i have come across some new words, expressions either abusive or otherwise. I think all of us here should try to encourage one another and come up with constructive/beneficial criticism. some people speak english but english they cannot write they have spoken it while some write but cannot speak fluently. I'm sorry for the distractions. May God improve us

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

    brethen,
    fraternal felicitations.
@dustydee and retired corper......more power to your elbow.it is well.
    i bring you good tidings.
i feel the urge to react to some posts which has the potential to demoralise, dampen and eventually disintegrate the united front weve had thus far.
foremostly, the 2008 recruitment was concluded. the then GGM HR, LillieADEGBITE (MRS>) concluded the entire process including arrangements for thetraining, before she departed for her terminal leave.some elements within thesystem didnt allow the process, see the light of day.her office was un occupiedfor a very long time. though a believer, i can imagine the rancour that wouldoccur, should the process be re-called 4 years after.the present probe maydiscover it cause huge resources was allocated to it,it would only give thehawks an oppotunity of bringing in their stooges.i feel we should rather praythat it doesnt get to that, because we would not benefit from it.
secondly, the NNPC does not recruit like a multinational.it recruits like agovernment service or parastatal.in the process, you know your mates and canmeasure your growth...just like the military.....i stand to corrected but noone, not even from the presidency, was recruited in the 2008 edition.....pleasecheck up,maybe they were offerred contractor staff positions, because they wereeven no contract staff.
the names of successful candidates are not pasted anywhere within the precinctof the towers, ask dustydee.no NNPC staff can claim to know anything about thisprocess. the security dept has rcvd reports of cleaners and drivers engaging inunscupulous activities, defrauding innocent victims with a view to helping themcheck their names.trust me on this one, only the GMD, GED CORPORATE,GGM HR ANDGM TRAINING has access to the list, and would protect it with their blood.itshighly classified.
on the issue of salary, ive said it time without number here that,if you arelooking for a job, forget the NNPC....but if you want a career? welcome!!!
i commend the brethen in the house for their efforts at creating awareness overthe exercise, however, we should be careful that it does not become a negetivepublicity.we are dealing with an establishment and a system here, and ive beenhere long enough to know that they dont kindly to any form of opposition orconfrontation. so far the process has been fair, trust politicians they canusurp the entire thing to their advantage.
now to the good news...if you have sold your dancing shoes,go and buy another.because you will definitely dance.
the delays and the probes were for our own good.
when i said that it was in the interest of NNPC to conclude this process,it wasnot well understood.
presently,NNPC and its activities, is now like an open book. the secrecy oftheir activities has been broken.every one is asking questions.
nigeria is in the better for it.
im informed that recruitment would be priority agenda immediately after budgetis passed.
for those who didnt make it, another exercise will be on this year, massively tocater for the PIB.
rejoice, celebrate.......go get that moet and have a great time.

I see no reason why many are taken pleasure in judging one's grammatical prowess. For the fact that you speak and write well doesn't in anyway justify that you're better off than the other in terms of academic excellence. Let's exhibit some level of maturity. We're taking it so hard on this guy. Now, everyone just wants to spout out the error in Vin20's grammatical construction. Did the guy do anything wrong by sharing with the hopeful the information he's got? He has already admited to these errors with utmost humility, so please, I beg to let him be. And if you think you're so 'englishish' and perhaps a proffessor of english, please do find yourself a classroom and serve there your purpose. What is pertinent is the information, not your english knowing ability. So lets stop picking up on this guy.

So many things are wrong here with the manner some pple write to insult pples english. Why do u so conclude that whatever u read here is exactly the persons english standard? I am not either supporting wrong english, but its minor in an issue of this weight. Its better invest all the time on poor english to strategies not to be taken unaware. Thanks unto those who keep faith with this thread up till the moment. Most importantly in the area of publication and hope renewer- vin20. God will continue to bless our little effort to the end.

I thank all those that have information about this process and are willing to tell some of us that do not have access to any.(Vin20,JA,etc)the face now is that the process is still on from all indications but my problem is how many ppl will they collect and when will this letters start moving? If they are thinking of another exercise they should take all those that came to they interview now......
