if someone doesnt share your point of view, criticise if you must, but do it constructively. Insulting people shows your character. Yes, I am expecting my NNPC letter, but I am in pursuit of other goals in life. I dont want anybody to insult me cos I did not insult anybody. If you want to write columns, write. If you want to#occupynnpc, occupy. But I will not. Do you have to insult me for that? If anybody felt aggrieved by my post, it was meant to be taken lightly. But pls face your lives and leave peoples lives alone...cos you dont know shit about me. And if you think you do...lol, you dont.

brethen, i salute your courage to be able to carry out this struggle.
i earnestly pray that it succeeds, and bears positive fruit.
the government does not think the way, you and i think.
if they do, many people would be in prison by now.
its a govt of thieves, by thieves for theieves.
madueke will give one technical reason, and that would be all...we would be advised to seek other alternetives....or better still, try and create employment.
i emphasise that occupy NNPC would not be the best option.this govvt does not take kindly to confrontation, constructive arguements and reasoning.
it must be achieved subtly and politically.
i however came with great news for the house.
i believe God has answered the prayers of the brethen in the house.
this current probe of the activites of the NNPC would lead to them doing something soon.
i see them even going back to 2008, in other to save some peoples neck.......we are the better for it.
they have to justify the huge allocation to the recruitment process.the tempo here is high.
its every man for his head....the words...my hand no dey....is a common phrase.
every document is being requested for....the scope of the probe is encompassing.
what i think, we can do is to help the probe think towards our area.
if anyone can reach any member of the panel, and give him this information, it would be worthwhile.
but if its already in the papers, trust the bureaucracy to have already created an answer for it by now.
    God bless this beautiful house

This article i found in todays Guardian.

Nigeria loses N700b on Kaduna refinery, pays N12b annually to idle workers
A NERVE-RACKING revelation has come from the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) that the Federal Government is losing over N700 billion yearly due to the comatose nature of the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemicals Company (KRPC).
The chairman of the committee, Senator Magnus Abbe who disclosed this on Tuesday when the committee visited the plant on oversight function added that the Federal Government spends a whopping N12 billion yearly on staff salaries in the company.
Abbe who spoke after a tour of the plant lamented that instead of focusing on the core mandate of the company which was refining of petroleum products, the company has resorted to producing of drums for oil companies due to decay in its infrastructure. He equally expressed displeasure that the company established over 20 years ago with production capacity of 110, 000 barrels per day could not refine even 30,000 barrels per day.
“We are not happy with the situation in this refinery. It is shocking that the refinery built over 20 years ago with a capacity of 110,000 barrels is operating at low capacity. One appalling thing is that a plant built for refining products is converted to a container-making firm. We are doing this when we are paying N12 billion annually as staff salaries. We are going to find out why you are importing crude. It is not that the plant is not working, but there is no immediate plan to revive it’’, he said.
Still counting the losses the Federal Government incurs in the plant, Abbe said the investment in the plant was with the hope that by now Nigeria ought to have received returns on the investment.
He added: “It is more annoying if you consider the investment on the refinery. 110,000 barrels at 90 per cent capacity, we could be making more than N719 billion annually. The country would have been able to tackle the problem of infrastructure that we are talking about today. Instead of turnover of over N700 billion, we are battling with obsolete equipment. We are shocked by the obsolete facilities that we have seen here, particularly in the control room. The Nigerian people expect more from this plant”.
Expressing dismay over the operations of the plant, Abbe said: “Another baffling issue is that you collect crude from the Pipelines, Product and Marketing Company (PPMC) without proper costing. There is a lot of work to be done here’’.
He asked the management of the plant to submit to the committee the original cost of building the plant, the jobs that the plant has done, and the staff audit.
The Managing Director of KRPC, Bolanle Ayodele, expressed appreciation over the visit of the committee and expressed hope that intervention would come to rescue the plant. He regretted that assets in the plant had been deteriorating over the years because Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) was not carried out on schedule. Ayodele added that instead of the statutory two years period, the plant had suffered neglect.
“Down the line, as the integrity of the assets deteriorated and the company, by virtue of its location, continues to suffer from irregular crude supply owing to pipeline vandalism and inadequate maintenance, it became difficult to sustain steady operations. “Today, the assets require a comprehensive rehabilitation to ensure a strong and healthy business’’, he said.

@ Jesus Army, thanks for your contribution."....the scope of the probe is encompassing.what i think, we can do is to help the probe think towards our area.if anyone can reach any member of the panel, and give him this information, it would be worthwhile."I think its a bit too late to approach the House probe committee because they may have submitted their report last week. The Senate committee on downstream on the other hand had already recommended including subsidy removal. The best option now is to get it sponsored as a motion on the floor of the House or Senate and it must not be coming from a petroleum committee member-any house member or Senator can do that. Best regards

ℓ̊ am as perplexed as you all are about this recruitment but like it has been said wε should simply pray & do what wε think is best!
That said, ℓ̊ never knew ℓ̊ had a link to inside info until recently & ℓ̊ decided to squeeze whatever info ℓ̊ can for myself & †ђξ house. This recruitment will be completed as emphasised by JA & co.info reaching has assured that every single detail has been completed & letters generated & submitted for safekeeping. †ђξ delay is as a result of †ђξ pause order given (as confirmed by JA). This batch of recruitment is nothing like that of 2008 that was deemed incomplete & chaotic hence †ђξ cancellation but this probe will reveal a lot of things & probably force hands than initially expected.
And so wε know, †ђξ entire list is under lock & key so let no man fool you abt name checking cos even NNPC bosses don't have access to it!
Let's keep it real & never ever give up. It is our right,wε fought †ђξ good fight for it. God bless Nigeria!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

@all, apart from Leadership Newspapers that published the article today on page 35, other papers we have contacted will hopefully publish it when they decide on a date. Also we have already contacted an Hon Member of the House of Reps who is also a member of the House Committee on Petroleum downstream (won't mention name) and he promised to take it up with DPR and NNPC by asking questions about their recruitment processes. Incidentally both agencies are coming today for their budget defences. And so if you are in Abuja now and can make your way to the National Assembly, you may seize the opportunity to watch/listen to the Budget defence before the house committee (usually starts by 2pm). May God help us as we make this little effort to understand what is actually happening.
