even if they cut the salaries by 70%,it wont affect an nnpc staff.how much gan is the salary sef?the problem is the allowances.if the GMDs driver travels officially outside abuja for 5 days,he earns 150k.security details....the least earning 200k....and austin would require about 4, minus police, with about 3 cars in the entourage.calculate it and remember you have not considered austins allowances.fear go catch you for naija

I do not think it's right for forumites to dismiss the process based on the current civil unrest in the country. The deregulation process would rather strengthen the NNPC as a regulator of the industry and encourage more private investment in refining, as envisioned in the PIB. It is true that business will not be as usual especially with PPPRA and subsidy disbursements, but I think things will return to normalcy after this political impasse is amicably resolved. Afteral, AGO has long been deregulated and NNPC did not fall apart.

This is time for us to thread our words with caution. Remain blessed!

JA it depends on where he travels and his grade level. In NNPC there are three categories, A B Απϑ C. All the state capitals Απϑ LGAs are grouped into these three categories and the DTA of these three locations differ. Lets take for example an SS6 Staff. If he travels to A, he receives may be 19,900 as DTA, if he goes to B, 17,000 if he goes to C, 12,000. So u can't give a fixed amount for travelling cos it depends on the location and ur rank

@statesman, on a lighter note. I thot you would have asked, why "Be brief". The username "Bebrief" was coined in protest to the attitude of Nigerians in public places (offices, hospitals, banks, etc) when people waste other people's time, there is the need to "be brief" because "others are waiting". When you are in a queue at the filling station and it gets to your turn, pls tidy up your business as soon as possible, because "others are waiting". When you are driving and you need to stop by the roadside to buy bread, do not obstruct traffic cos you might cause a hold-up, and remember, "others are waiting". When you are in Mr Austin Oniwon's office to see him as a staff of NNPC, try to make your point straight, get his response and leave the office, because "others are waiting" to see him too. When you are in the bank to withdraw or deposit money, please be snappy about it because "others are waiting". When you are in the hospital to see a doctor, pls tell him exactly how you feel, get your and leave the consulting room, because "others are waiting"... By so doing, we would make life easier for others, especial in this hard times...

You may protest about any of our many ills as you wish to in this season of protests, but do it peacefully!

So, I am not "Bebrief" bcos I am brief in height, no i'm over 6ft tall. And i'm not "Bebrief" because I am short of words, no I have a lot to say... I am "Bebrief" because "others are waiting", so be brief, because others are waiting... Prof.salvage pls take note.

    Remain blessed!

The existence of a list is not what's in contention; what we are agitating for is the release of the letters. In my last post, I did inform the house of my friend whose friends name has been confirmed in the list. No matter what individuals are involved in ensuring the secrecy of the list, nothing can stop the content from being divulged.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

For a fact I know selection was completed on the 6th Sept, and verification of results was completed by the end of Sept. So there has been a list for over 3months.
However the existence of a list, or confirming ur name on the list doesn't bring the process to its end. Personally I have known my interview score and status for a while now.
My point is until a resumption date is announced and ltrs are distributed anything can happen. What scares me is that no one seems to know anything abt everything, even my sources. I was even advised recently to forget abt the process by an nnpc staff whom I met whilst doing my 2nd degree. My prayer is that we don't experience the fate of applicants in 2008.
I want to believe its the several unforeseen circumstances that have been stalling the process. E.g. 2011elections, nnpc probe, fuel subsidy removal, deregulation, civil protests, PIB bill and so on.
    God help us.

i pray that in their bid to show nigerians that they are ready to employ people, they will release letters to all that were interviewed. can we turn that to our prayer point?
