Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Alanu loluwa, we appreciate ur efforts in giving us real info, but what we are saying is that even six batches are called u would see more eloguent and briliant people in all unless one does not know what he/she has. We are yet to come to understanding of the recruitment's benchmaks, do u know all the people there and those who are yet to be called.I strongly bliv that more to be called, Yoruba says "A de oko baba enikan, ni a n so wipe oko baba mi lotobiju". We can just be thanking God.Simple as ABC.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Obogbo, thank u 4 ur timely info. I think there is something under this recruitment which made the press has no access to it. I strongly bliv in transparency and accountability.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
You know what?
nigerians are the most schooled in US according to survey and this i believe cuts accross other countries where we are. I think because of our disadvantaged position (unemployment, corruption and other vices) we have fled our land to other lands and we have to be more educated than them in their land to be able to get their jobs.
During our parents time you would get job as soon as you've gotten your first degree but now? you can have 20 degrees and still be in the labour market. Lets keep garning those degrees one day they would come handy. Then anybody that can be employed by NNPC can also be employed in the middle east. google those jobs, search for them. I met someone in dubai who just resumed a nursing job in dubai. she said she took time out to shop for the job in her earlier trip and that there are opportunities there. Presently i have registered to some of their jobsites for job alert. lets widen our search. if our leaders are recycling the wealth then we should help ourselves by not waiting for them to help us. you can imagine we had above two hundred and something thousand hustling for NNPC job. God have mercy.
I met a Nigerian working with oman airline in the conference i went for in dubai but he had some certifications. That is why i said we need to get those certifications. I also met an indian with 16 certifications and degrees inclusive. All these jobs are on the net and meant for some of us. I want to hear good news from us. Someone i know retired from shell nigeria and picked up a job in dubai. he is back in nigeria as a consultant. Please lets search for those jobs on the internet.

I believe those I referred to can compete favourably with anyone in any organisation or interview and would not need referrals to get a good job. I honestly believe the people i see here are good. believe me, they are some of the best in the country, i pray you'ld b called so that u can understand what I am saying. God bless you
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
obogbo, pls keep updating us as things dey go.
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
In fact, if you have 5 Master degrees with zero years of work / internship experience, you will join most organisations as a GT!!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I heard no GT Economist wuz called for the present induction. One of my inductee friends conveyed the message to me. How true is this please, any contrary observation?
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
- please do not scare the very few people who are in training and feeding the forum back. Their feedback gives you hope. After all, they have no obligation since they are already in. Please encourage them. Do not attack what they feed you with; keep the attack to your self.
- In due time, everything will be clear from my own calculation, NNPC, I guess is prepared for any outcome. This is my first of learning that an Employer will show you your interview sheet and score. Like someone said, 40/50 seems to be the minimum. This I think is deliberate. You will see, in time everything will be laid bare. Everything will be published. They even said they have a certificate of compliance from FCC for the process.
- Alanu, has a very good heart and should be encouraged, I learnt he made distinction or fist class (we go school for night). Also Terraco and Ele. Bebrief.
- In work environment, experience counts far and above certifications and PhD. Even in banking, those that went to Uk for masters came back to same level in their banks and reported to their former juniors who had been promoted twice while they were away. NNPC and most Nigerian Companies count first degree very important; any other is your personal development. How many degrees does Oniwon, Yakubu have? Go and read their profile and those of the GEDs. You need work 3 years per level, someone with 10 years’ experience will fall into SS3.
- We are in Nigeria, if Newspapers force NNPC to bring out the scores, what they quote for you is what you will take. If they say you scored 20/50. What do you do? Will you question them?
- Civility should be our watch word here; You don’t know who is who and who might help you tomorrow. We all are still growing. Except if I am at Edwin Clark’s age & status, then I can talk any how. I might not agree with Jesus Army most of the time, but I respect him greatly. I don’t know him, he does not know me. Who knows tomorrow, he might help me.
- The world is very small. I have been in a forum like this and when I met a man I had been exchanging threads for 4 years, the man happened to be a VC of a federal Uni in Nigeria and 56 years old. I had to prostrate to the man when he introduced himself to me in a function as we sat to together and saw me responding to a thread under my Pseudo name and I thanked God that I kept it clean. Do you know I got N1.8bn deposit from this man from his school project account he opened through me.
- It was only Nne-Mak, I used the word miserable, which I withdrew immediately when she made me realise that the job will help a young lad .I apologised to her immediately.
- Adumamama comments seem to be corroborated by the GTs now in the Towers.
- Suki and BB1, it shall be well with you. Every great man has a story. Some MDs of banks never had degrees or were from privilege background.
- I wish you all, the best and well too. Look on to God, the Arthur and finisher of our faith.
- Modsquad signing out. If possible deactivate me from the forum.
