@Depacalon, I don't understand why you should be concerned about this publication if in deed the letter has been dispatched. The publication will only be status barred if the letters has truly been released. I am beginning to suspect that some fifth columnist has infiltrated this thread.

@All, Let us continue with the publication no matter what happens. The only thing that should stop the publication is if we receive confirmation that successful hopefuls have started to receive thier letters.

hello house, this is my first time of posting on this thread but i have been following this thread for quite sometime now and i must say that we, the hopefuls have really endured. I got an information today from an inside man in the nnpc that the letters for the hopefuls are being type and processed for onward despatch. I please urge everyone involved in the planned publication to please exercise some restraint for at least another 2 weeks. I say, the end is near!! we just need to be fervent in prayer and hope to be among the chosen ones. Hope to see you guyz @ the training school in warri, cheers!

President Goodluck Jonathan sacks Management and board of NNPC.

If the letters fail to roll out before the end of this week,then there will be little or no hope in getting it again.There might be some elements of truth in the rumour flying around that letters have been typed.The management may decide to do this before being booted out of office and to avoid corruption in terms of job scam being levied against them after leaving office.Welcome ANDREW YAKUBU-the new GMD

U did it. Coupled with d subsidy probe reports, our issue has raised so much dust in d corporation. D entire management of d NNPC have been sacked. Maybe dats d reason for d sudden 'rush' to release d letters.

The new board of management may not claim responsibility for the this recruitment exercise if the outgone management failed to conclude it.Whao, many thanks to the adage that says," A stitch in time saves nine". The publication may have little or no effect now.My prayers for the hopefuls is that their letters of appointments be approved and typed before this sudden change in management. We just hope that the new GMD(YAKUBU ANDREW) does the needful if the letters are not yet ready.

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the re-composition of the executive management team of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

This was announced in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, who said the decision of the President was to further strengthen the ongoing reforms and transformation of Nigeria’s Petroleum sector, and in furtherance of efforts to achieve greater transparency and accountability in government.

The new management team now includes Engr. Andrew Yakubu as Group Managing Director, Mr. Bernard O.N. Otti as Group Executive Director (Finance and Accounts), Engr. Abiye Membere as Group Executive Director (Exploration and Production), Dr. Peter S. Nmadu as Group Executive Director (Corporate Services), Engr. Anthony Ogbuigwe as Group Executive Director (Refineries & Petrochemicals), Dr. Attahir B. Yusuf as Group Executive Director (Commercial & Investments) and Dr. David Ige as Group Executive Director (Gas & Power).

The incoming Group Managing Director, Engr. Andrew Yakubu graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He joined the NNPC in 1980. Positions he has held in the corporation include Managing Director of the Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company and Group Executive Director (Exploration and Production). Engr. Yakubu is an indigene of Kaduna State and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

President Jonathan has also approved the appointment of Engr. Victor Briggs as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC).

The incumbent Group Managing Director, Engr. Austen Oniwon, and Mr. Michael Arokodare (outgoing Group Executive Director (Finance and Accounts), Mr. Philip Chukwu, outgoing Group Executive Director (Refineries & Petrochemicals), and Engr. Billy Agha, outgoing Group Executive Director (Engineering & Technology) are to proceed on retirement.

President Jonathan commended the outgoing directors for their service to the nation and urges the new management team to be fully committed to rapidly implementing the critical interventions needed to positively transform Nigeria’s petroleum industry.
