Peeps into d thread.
Fellow hopefuls, greeting to you all. I must commend your efforts and patience and most importantly for keeping the hope alive in many of us. This is my first information to this forum. I decided to share this piece of info with you bcos other forumites have contributed so much in tying to explain the "WHY". Please be informed that the delay of the process has nothing to do with PIB as many were meant to believe but rather FEDERAL CHARACTER COMMISSION. I was told some states had more pple than alllowed based on FCC palaver. To God be the glory that has being resolved. My source (GMD & Minister linked) told me that in 2-3 weeks, we should be expecting to hear from NNPC. On a final note, pls let encourage one another and be matured in our criticism. Wish you all the best!

@st mexy, no wahala. Thanks for the info. Protest will still hold excepting we hold our letters in our hands before the agreed protest date.

No way to 4th June or 14th, by then the GMD would have rounded up... I am starting the protest 2moro 30th may. If u want, you can come join me. I would be waiting in the filling station opp nnpc towers till 11am when I intend to start.
Nice one st mexy. The light is coming strong
Mata of fact, staging our protest at the earliest time possible as suggested by arab4real, i think, is best for us in order to get ahead of eventualities be it june 12 syndrome, electricity tariff saga, nnpc reshofu scenario, mpr sack tin, etc
if Not God...
Good job guys for the ALUTA SPIRIT by way of peaceful protest and demonstration on the non-release of NNPC 2010 recruitment appointment letters!
It has been stated and I wish to urge that anything that has to be done should take place between now and the first week of June. The GMD is going on compulsory retirement in June and there is an imminent management reshuffle, which can either speed up the release of letters or sweep the whole process under the carpet. Also the TUC protest is by the corner.
Therefore, a Monday June 4th date will be most ideal. Some volunteers can register the protest at any Police station in Abuja during the week. The house therefore needs to agree on a date and harmonize all efforts so that the turnout can be impressive, because the button line is for forumites to take the bold step on the d-day!
I recall when I took the bold step to be the first to put up a publication on National dailies about the delayed recruitment process titled "NNPC and the bane of transformation". We went as far as meeting one-on-one with the Senate Committee chair on Petroleum Downstream, Senator Udo Udoma as well as House member Farouk Lawan who was the Chairman of the House probe. We gave them copies of the newspaper publication as well as explained our plight. Though they promised to help and also asked the Minister questions, of which she responded saying they'll be employing soon, but it seems the attention then was solely on the Subsidy scam.
Today is democracy day and now is the time for us to re-write history and it shall be remembered that we took our destiny in our hands in a peaceful and democratic way of protest, and my God bless our efforts..Amen
Wait a sec! I dont think i've read a piece frm these great guyz since this protest ambition started. The likes of ; Patorini, Vin20, JA, ABCD123, Abujababe, FromFrance, Ihope and a host of them. I hope they're not sitting on the fence this time, or are they on their side-eranding for them? Its a question sir/ma
@kinlord3 we nid 2 b organisd wen presentin our case, there shud b a reasonabo amount of hopfuls on grand to present our case is nt an individual tin we shud al agree on d same day nd i tink 4th is ok
I think we should be well organised so as to make a serious impact with this protest. If possible,we should also march to any some of the major media houses & even the National Assembly Quarters to resister our grieviances during the protest. That way,the protest will yield more results. Just yesterday, casava farmers took their protest to the National Assembly in protest against a legislation regarding the inclusion of cassava in all pastry products in the country. If ordinary farmers can do it,we too can do it even better. ALUTA CONTINUA !!!.
