With all due respet 2ur personal views, do u actually realize that in a nationwide recruitment in2 a National Corporation like the NNPC, top politicians and even NNPC top management have slots specifically reserved 4them. Do u really see any1 coming in on d basis of such provision as being corrupt or a fool. In as much as i dont fancy any1 bragging or boasting of his or her connections, i equaly advice u not 2try 2create unnecessary confusion by hiding under d cover of Christianity 2make misleadng statements cos even the bible recognizes d place of unmerited favour. If in doubt ask God why He loved Jacob & hated Esau even b4 they were even born. Also ask Him(Jehovah) why He said (1)"I WILL SHOW MERCY ON WHOM I WILL SHOW MERCY".(2) "IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT WILLETH NOR OF HIM THAT RUNNETH BUT OF GOD THAT SHOW MERCY".Read Isaiah chapters 41,43,& 54. to understand d extent God can go when He wants 2help those He decides to help." Right from the bible days, favouritism has always been in existence. If God decides to favour anyone through some highly placed connections, who are you to question Him. Your concern should be that God should make a way for you even where there seems to be no way.Some people who are more qualified than you in all ramifications applied for the same position as u did bt were never shortlisted for inexplicable reasons. sir, i don't know how long you've been on this thread, but there was a time some strange brethren were mocking us. they were really reviling some of us. they were making jest of our faith in god and brandishing credentials of senators, traditional rulers and politicians, who were going to get them the job, by crook or by hook.
i wish you were here then...i saw christian and Muslims unite on this thread to chase the infidels away....proving what Ive always said that religion is not Nigeria problem....but corruption.
now,my dear brother, from the above, what do you call such people......they are fools under a curse, simple.
scripture says, we shouldn't call somebody a fool, who is not a fool-,not that when we see a real fool, as defined in the scripture, we shouldn't call him that.in fact it said,we shouldn't call a brother a fool......because a brother is not expected to be a fool.
finally sir, there is a thin, almost naked line between favour and lobby. if you visit the GMD NNPC,and he gives you a job-beautiful. that's favour. several senior positions in the NNPC didn't go through a recruitment drive, like the current general manager(security)...he just came on board, no advertisement.
but where there is an advert, meant to deceive people, and make them suffer irreparable losses in the process there-of, and some fools get it through the back door, that's lobbying......corruption.God does not approve of it, no matter how correct you you think it is. he will bless you, but definitely through a corrupt ridden process. God is not part of what will not give glory to his name. it must bring glory. it must draw men to worship.
