Remember the people or person, managing the facebook page gets paid for it. So lets him/her/they work for the money. We have to tell our PRESIDENT of our plight. Remember, the travelling (to and fro, both for aptitude test and the interview)was not cheap and there were reports that some hopefuls died in an accident while going for the aptitude test. Remember also that some of the 2010 hopefuls were part of the 2008 recruitment that was cancelled without any valid reason. The least we can expect is that this 2010 recruitment exercise to be concluded & if writing to our DEAR PRESIDENT about it has a slim chance of making a difference, i believe its worth the try. Finally, if MR PRESIDENT is not interested in the NNPC recruitment (an agency that Practically oversees and manages at least 60% of our nations wealth), then i honesly feel very sorry for the UNEMPLOYED NIGERIAN YOUTH.
It's actually over 90%.

Listening to the pet and finance minister today in lagos, there's no way ur statement can be justified.
Figures released today state that 46%of youths are unemployed with 85% of youths unhappy with the employmnt opportunities in the country. This figure I even believe r understatements.
Finally, there's the pib bill to come as well.
Just my opinion. What's the source of ur info?

A copy of the article is presented below. Make ur own mind up. A revolution is imminent in Nigeria.
Mass sack looms in NNPC
Written by Hamisu Muhammad
The management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is planning to sack a large number of its work force, Daily Trust learnt.
But the workers’ union has issued a strong warning to the management of the corporation to reverse the decision or face serious industrial crisis.
Aside the staff retrenchment, Daily Trust gathered that the management of the corporation will, also soon, embark on some key reforms that will negatively affect the welfare of the staff.
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) said in a joint stamen that unless such reforms didn’t take effect, they will soon embark on a serious industrial action that will paralyze the economy as has never been seen or heard.
The statement was circulated round the NNPC headquarters. Daily Trust obtained a copy of the statement yesterday.
The unions said they are angry over the planned retrenchment of staff and adjustment of the cost of living without due consultation of the unions by the management.
Other issues raised by the unions include planned phase out of the phased payment of January allowance and delay in the appraisal and promotion of staff.
The statement was signed by NNPC PENGASSAN Chairman, Comrade F.O Johnson and the NNPC NUPENG Chairman, Comrade O.B Udofia.
According to the statement, the NNPC management planned to embark on a retrenchment of young and energetic staff and retaining some old hands that add no value to the systems.
The unions said the choice is up to the management to treat these issues with urgency and dispatch action they deserve for peace to reign, adding that any implementation to the contrary will paralyze the economy as never seen.
