Let me come clean about my assertion. The call for successful candidates ought to have been made in september lasy year but never came. I was told about 3 different persons that my name was on the list, even as close to a week ago.Then, the african magic thing happened! Meanwhile, congratulations to all those that have received there letters, i wish you guys a successful career in NNPC. For those still searching for job, when your due season comes, nothing can hinder you. Be of good courage and be determined, dont loose hope, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. And as for those of us working, lets face our jobs squarely, all i know is that there is an appointed time for everybody. I am an hopeful but have since moved on because i got an offer Offshore, so, let me go and continue adjusting the choke so that more crude can be exported. It is well

Ondo state and my contact address is akure but yet to receive my letter.how many forumites with contact add in osun,ondo,oyo,ekiti have received letters?please revert.......maybe our letters are on d way.we need to be sure..

I strongly believe that merit on state basis was adhered to. All states are well represented. I got my call on merit with or without quota on basis of where i'm working presently. In same company, 2 guys from kogi state got calls too and one from the south west states. We all reside in ph. Please people should stop making assertions that are baseless. I also disagree totally that the southwesternes have the best brains while i agree that they go farther in academic pursuits due to the foundation laid by their early leaders. I have crisscrossed nigeria studying. Lagos, kano., niger, ph, owerri. We should leave out all these tribalistic comments please.

U seem to misunderstand people talking here. What people are simply saying and which is true is that this is a big forum with people from diverse background and for sometime before now, their seem not be from the southwest extraction one who seem to have indicated they got letter. They believe which is also true that quite an impressive number from these states were represented at the interview and if such is the case they want people who are from the states to come out and clear their doubts. Nobody and I repeat nobody (You can read through the posts) on this post ever said that the southwestern people are superior to anybody from other parts of the country. If anybody reads that meaning into what were posted here then the person assumed so from his own biased view. People have right to make enquiry and clear that doubt and I don't see why people are castigating them for exercising their right.Quote:

D recruitment is both on quota and merit basis. Nigeria has 6 geopolitical zones. If we hav testimonies from all, den its cool. Dont expect one to be more just bcos it presented mor at d interview stage.
Dis i think was y some dudes were asking for testimonies to show state of origin. So dat dey'l pick up states left behind and talk. If u belong to a zone out of 6 den expect 1/6 of d testimonies to com frm dere which i think its even more for d Westerners(ie >1/6).
So y d complaint? Take heart if u'r in doubt else urs is on d way just bliv.

@birdzflyskyhigh, the question is meant to establish whether the letter are dispatched on state by state basis. If its on state basis and u see no evidence somebody from your state has been called, you remain hopeful else you give up. IfA you look at it from that point of view, you recognise the question being asked is relevant.
As far as I am concern the problem most of us nigerians have is that words like marginalisation, nepotism, etc have been so enshrined in our dictionary, thought and psyche that we analyse everything from that point of view. This is democracy and we should allow people to ask talk and ask questions no matter how stupid the questions may sound without fear of molestation and harassment. If we do Nigeria will be better for it. Nobody is more equal than the other, God created us equal and before him we remain so irrespective of status, ethnic orientation, educational level or anything.
