As it stands I don't see any going back, the pressure on MPR/DPR/NNPC to release our letters is our aim and that we will achieve, God helping us. Thanks to those who are contributing, the account officer will give us update and that publication will become reality even as we will finally hold our letters. One love hopefuls

I am impressed by the response to ds call of cash deposit. I know a lot of hopefuls are ready to show their solidarity if the medium is comfortable I av paid mine own quota. But it is my sincere desire to up it by next week. big kudos to kafox; u really impressed me for ur contribution. And for others who paid above the minimum, may God cont to bless u abundantly. And for so many like me that are not working and yet being able to donate our own widow's mite, our hand will not reach d bottom of our pockets, our oil will stay IJN. I have been thinking and i keep asking myself some questions.what is holding the letters?are we very sure that people are comming in through backdoor?are we sure that the delay is NNPCs fault or sometin they cannot control?someone posted an article which says that NNPC budgeted a particula amount but was given an amount less than 30 percent of what they budgeted for.there is also a stand still in the oil and gas industry due to uncertainty in the final content of PIB.bunkery and imminet complete re-birth of NNPC are also there.even NNPC workers are not sure of their tomorow(from my source).are we very sure that all these factors are not the cause of the delay in the recruitment?what if we are wrong? (there is a possibility) what if NNPC comes out to defend itself that the money accrued for 2010 recruitment has not be spent? I read at a time dat most ministries and parastatas have not been able to get their hands on the budget funds due to a reason i cant remember.if we are wrong,what would our employer to-be think of us? Some of these questions have been answered,some are unclear,and some have not been answered.what can we do to answer the questions? Is newspaper publication the best way? If not,then which method is the best?dat said ,we can post our publication on NNPC's facebook page,and madam minister's facebook page.God will be our guide.i am just tired of everything.

Courtesy demands that NNPC tell us to have patience.PIB or uncertainty isn't the issue cos even foreign oil and gas coys are still recruiting till date. How much more NNPC that is not as cost-conscious.
What we are doing now will add impetus to every other job-seeker who might be in danger of being treated without respect by employers...government or private.
If this trend continues,employers will be very careful with playing with people's time,life,emotion,etc.
May God see us through.
Batyme, am not saying the bill must be passaged b4 our list is released, but am saying once it is presented to jonathan, implementation will start immediately, which must involve the release of the list, and restructuring nnpc and dpr, infact all what i know is that we will resume as proposed nnpc ltd wch is equavilent to any oil company in world,

Is like this long-awaited PIB is fully ready now at Presidency bcos there has been PIB series of publications in dailies in particular "The Guardian" for the public enlightenment on it , today punch carries PIB full page. As Vin20 had been saying our recruitment might be targeted at PIB . Though we could rule-out backdoor intakes thru politics. Very soon, NNPC will be refined into different limited companies.

Timing of the publication is very critical. For example, if it were to be on the frontpage this week it would not have much impact owing to the fact that other more important breaking news (faruk lawagate) is on the front burner.
Also I think we should begin to diversify our struggle methods not just the publication which is just a one time affair and may or may not be as fruitful as expected. We know for a fact that our recruitment is being delayed by the NNPC board. My suggestion is we identify who are these board members, their offices and residences and then appoint a high-powered lobby group that would visit these members at home on in their offices to lobby for the release of our letters. I think we can achieve alot through these guys since they are the ultimate decision makers as far as our recruitment is concerned. If this suggestion is approved then we can begin the process of appointing the lobby group representatives in Abuja and Lagos since these are the towns where most of them resides. NHJ members can contribute little information they know like names, residence/office addresses of these people through pm messages to bebrief or any other trusted member of the group as exposing those details here may be a matter of security risk. Good talk sidmury, l sincerely believe that this issue as it is now, is beyond the board of the NNPC. This is because DPR is also involved. Instead it will be nice if we(NNPC/DPR HOPEFULS) can channel our energies to the Minister of Petroleum Resources before our publication with an intent to know what is actually holding the release of the offer letters. The publication no doubt will be "ALL IN ONE", a complete dossier and it must HIT its target in Jesus name AMEN. For me, l believe we can do the lobby movement before the publication and not the other way round.
Please i suggest that our approach should be stepwise. Let us not forget the aim of this publication which i strongly believe would send a signal to the appropriate quarters, create awareness beyond the hopefuls and the NNPC/DPR management,indirectly secure advertorial segments on visual media programs such as those that highlight newspaper headlines and ultimately leaving a stain on the minds of a good number of Nigerians about the subject. This is a step in the right direction, let us just do one thing at a time and see how ideas will confront us with our follow up actions. THE PUBLICATION IS THE MOST PARAMOUNT NOW, LETS HIT THE TARGET COMRADES. IJN
My take is from sidmury's suggestion. We cannot embark on a lobbyist mission or movement after the publication. So we need to permutate carefully. No doubt for us to get the needed publicity and attention we must use the major national dailies. After this, we should all be ready to come out of our shells for whatever will be the next line of action. For now the composition of both the NNPC/DPR fora remains largely anonymous.
My Comrades, i greet u all. My contribution 2 our noble course will come in soon. However, i wish to point out some facts. Would it be proper to demand explanations using a fight or blackmail? Have we met her in person to demand explanations? Is it not only logical that we hear her out before making a public show of her office? I propose dat we write a letter 2 her requesting d permission to pay her a visit within next week. In it we tell her our mission, d no. of delegates, and state clearly that 4 obvious reasons, d delegates will not give out their names at any point (or entrance) during this visit. 'Befrief' or any hopeful can draft d letter, we tailor it, 'kalokalo' or any other delegated hopeful in abuja submits it before d end of 2day. On the approved date,five delegates frm lagos including 'Bebrief' joins 'Kalokalo' and another 'hopeful' in abuja on d fact finding visit. If she fails 2 reply or gives lame excuses den d next day we hit d papers wit our story. We cud even cite d lame excuses she gave. It is only logical dat we ask before we act.

It's Only civic to let her and the government know that there are certain questn left unanswered.. And that perhaps is:
1) Why DPR/NNPC Have taken too long without even a foot move to complete it.
2) People are given employments in this places at the expense of ths recruitment.
3) That a scam is being sensed in the entire process, oweing to the fact that the recruitment was markd in 2011 budget and again in 2012 but yet nothing afloat.. And even the TP ALLW is also yet to be paid.
Paying her a visit will only waiste the esence of this DONATIOn and the time so far as she Will only brain wash and sweet talk these Guys.
