My fellow hopefuls, i say weldone for the patience we have exercised so far. Remember the saying that the patient dog eats the biggest bone. Let us adopt a peaceful means that will really reveal that we are brilliant and intelligent young nigerians and that we know what we are doing. My pple, the letas will and must come soonest. If we say we want to protest, it is right and just bcos this country belongs to all of us but we need to be more patient. We shall rejoice soonest. For those that are insisting on protest, u are all right but i advise that we shld be more patient. @bb1, pls, take it easy, the letas will come soonest.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
time has lapsed , for how long would u be waiting for endless call from NNPC jobs, today one story, tomorrow another, we are tired of that, let people act and see the result. A rational man with happenings in this country, would think twice on this NNPC recruitments.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
It seems some people dey afraid of the result of the protest, d protest is to hasten the process so no cause for alarm. Nobody can be intimidated, when people are not planning for protest, what had NNPC did, so whatelse again.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Jamfad, so told u that letas must come out sonnest, all this is a repeat of old news. We should be carried away by cheap and mind-consoling news.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Thank you oga Jamfad, u can deside to stay indoor on dat day(4th of june) if u chose to be soft. But as for those who chose to strong nd dat believe we've been cheated enough in this country, it's no going back. Peaceful protest 'lo le seeee'.
Besides, people should pls stop advising us not to embark on this action again- ur points are well noted. We've taken our position and it's no going back.
The God of peaceful protest shall see us through.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
After the failure of the last permutations and predictions, my heart sank and i finally felt that that this whole process has actually been botched. To ABC123, you asked if NNPC was our birth right and if we went on a protest to apply for the job. Do you think that it is out of place for us to know why billions was spent over a recruitment process and yet noting comes out of it for two years. Shell, Mobil Total et al can afford it without questions been asked but NNPC is different it is a state owned company. This means that they are answerable to all Nigerians. I am well aware that even if the names are released tomorrow, mine might not be included, hence this is not just about working in NNPC cos i have lost better jobs in the past and it was not the end of my life or career. My concern about the protest is rather about our articulation. I have not heard of the involvement of any media house either print or electronic. Guys this might be out last chance to have an answer . If this is blown it might be difficult to have another opportunity.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
....for dose of us who've been speaking big big grammar not to protest, lemme now confirm your fears. The protest will go on and if u're praying for it not to drag down d process, NO it wont for d process is already on d ground if u dont know by now.
If at all it's gonna have any effect on d process dat'll be to ressurect it. With d t-fare paid, 2008 process looked even more serious dan 2010 recruitment. Dose dat attended d former can bear me witness.
@Ozogwu n d Rest. U'd better given up hope on dis scam dan still hope dat it's still alive. Not after d protest u say it's bcos of d protest dat it's now cancelled.
Brethren lets not give up! We'v nothing absolutely nothing, dat we'v not lost, to lose.
The protest must hold.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Let me state unequivocally that the option of protest is a very tenuous one capable of both positive and negative consequences. I prefer the use of "mass inquiry" to describe this action.. Our purpose should be to peacefully know the state of things as regards the recruitment, and to get a sure word on it's conclusion from the horse's mouth. The issue of protesting the delays should not be put on the front burner. we have to come accross as gentlemen and ladies who are capable of effecting changes without the instrumentality of violence..Otherwise, we would be playing into the hands of the NNPC/DPR.
Our number, clarity/unity of purpose, and comportment will speak a lot for us..
For those who have suggested the use of publications, I also subscribe to that, any peaceful way of resolving this issue is ok by me..I have not been able to publish my first write up. I wish to volunteer the edited version of the piece to any person who can ensure its swift publication, regardless of whether it bears my pseudonym or not. I will it when I finish editing it.
PS: I am not against the protest, I just don't think we should go there with a "protesting" mentality. What our focus should be is to find out the reason for the delay, and when we will be called. Otherwise they might plant detractors among us, subvert the process , gain public sympathy and make us look like fools. let's be wise.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Dis anti-protesters ® really coming out en masse to discourage us as if they ® under a lot of pressure to stop d protest....hmmmm

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
I must say that i believe in the saying and the actions of the four lepers in the Bible that said 'WHY SIT WE HERE TILL WE DIE?'. The four lepers took an action and went in to a dangerous (enemies) camp and where able to get food there by God's intervention. We cannot longer continue to sit here till we die. Let's take our case to the public thru the protest and if we succeed, good for us, and if not, also good for us. At least, we will know that the process is either completed or cancelled and we continue in our life endevours.
ALUTA CONTINUA, VICTORIA ACERTA.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
pls when u guys are putting up ur comments..SUMMARIZE oh

@ anti-protest so u still don't know d cause of delay in dis exercise? let me tell u. eg. sharp practice, looting, possessivenes, wickednes, bias, lack of accountability/respect, spritually poluted mind among others. nd we are mandated to let them understand their misconduct nd have a fullstop.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
If NNPC has not employed tru reccuitment for the past six years, then how do they cope with shortage of staff?the answer is very simple.people have been commin in tru the backdoor.and they have been advertising.for what purpose?the answer is also simple.to deceive the general public and to spend the fund meant for the recruitment.this is corruption in its totality and must be stoped.EVEN IF THE POLICE WONT ALLOW US TO PROTEST,NIGERIANS MUST HEAR THIS.
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Let us nominate one person for each state of the federation.these 36 hopefuls will aproach the senators and representatives that come from the states.they will lay a complain.by the time the complain comes from all the states, our voice will be heard.all hopefuls should listen to any oil and gas program either on TV or radio.make contributions to this program and let them know what happened to recruitment in nnpc.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
NNPC, a very big den of Thieves.............. Wicked minded people who only sweet talk the public and unsuspecting masses into believing fairy tales.
If this Nov 2010 Recruitment process was adjudged to be fair, why then do they have to make people suffer the agony of long and perpetual endless wait to get at least a response.
To be very candid, NNPC has not treated this issue with maturity, they have really exposed the ills going on there by the long overdue silence..
If we must know, Ghana just built a refinery within 8 months & it commenced operations on the 27th of May 2012. There was no noise, no propaganda, no setting up of excess and duplicating committees..etc In Nigeria the NNPC is playing roller coaster with our Refineries, setting up excess committees to steal money in the name of sanitizing the Refineries.
Guys the only thing that will tell those WICKED AND SELFISH minded people is to let them know that we cannot be fooled again... Peaceful protest is not a sin, and it is a pointer for redress.. God forbid, l have never seen this type of thing.. Worst of it all is that the slogan of NNPC says WE TOUCH YOUR LIVES IN MANY POSITIVE WAYS... Guys l just wonder....

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
Kalokalo, and others clamoring for mass media campaign against ill-recruitment at NNPC, several articles have been published which we all saw some months ago. So, what else. NNPC needs a peaceful protest for them to release the list of successful candidates. The issue on ground concerning this recruitment is more than TV or radio programs, we need simple and peaceful action. Why meeting Senators? nothing will come out of it, its

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
....once beaten dey say, twice shy but someppl here, who i doubt are hopefuls, are saying twice beaten, no shy at all.
Like som dude said earlier, if u'r still hoping on d successful completion of d process, den u'r sitting on a loooooooong thing. Ok u can cook up an excuse for NNPC on why dey've not been able to complete d process but can u also tell urself why dey've not been able to pay d paltry t-fare??
T-fare for a Hopeful = N10,000
: . T-fare for 4500 Hopefuls = N45m
So why cant NNPC bring out N45m to offset d T-fares??? The only reason dat can explain dis is WICKEDNESS. They'l say "afterall we cancelled it in 2008 and nobody talked except, of course, d 30 losers dat came here to cry claiming dey'r protesting...... ..and for this reason we can as well withold deir t-fares and nobody'l bite.....afterall we'r not d first dat have done it and we doubt if we'll be d last.....hahahahahahaha!"
What actually is 'biting'?
Its not 'barking' ooo. 'Barking' may be going to d media pages while 'biting' is definitely going face-to-face with dem(NNPC).
We'll go dere LIVE to meeting Oniwon himself. We'l not leave untill he adressess us. And for d spies among us, better run back to him and tell him dat d earlier he addresses us dat day d better for everybody and dat dis wont be like dat of 2008 NNPC hopefuls protest.
My principal in sch back den used to say "to be fore warned is to be fore armed"

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@kafox pls point of correction those of us from abuja wont the transport fare bcos we told so at the venue of the interview. So the amount is even less than N45m
-
Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@Ozogwu. So y cant NNPC offset less dan N45m t-fares. Is it not bcos dey take us less dan humans?? See eh make nobody come dey talk say make we go thru d media only make we no spoil am.
Spoil wetin??
Perhaps our t-fares went with d subsidy.
What abt d budget for new intakes?
Look, if dey'r looking for a way to publicly terminate dis process we'll hand dem over A VERY GOOD WAY come 4th June. But atleast we'l den b satisfied dat at last we fought back for once.
God'l surely see us thru.

The NNPC implants are on this thread, spreading FALSEHOOD coated with HOPE.
PLEASE DISREGARD THIS HEARTLESS FELLOWS. Even if you decide to postpone this protest till september, they will come and tell US of a "meeting" in their bedroom, where it was decided that the letters will be released by October 1st , and so need for protest. SHINE YOUR EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vin20 will now be a fairy tale. A tale of deliberate misguided use of the English Language. Guys this whole thing, at times one wonders if it actually existed.
Job well done, some of these characters have now metamorphosed into their more advanced stages and forms... Thread wisely guys, nothing is what it seems...

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
in a public forum like this of supposed educated minds, it is expected that minds from various ethnic groups, with different backgrounds will always have divergent views. I, for reasons stated in my earlier post, don't feel a STREET PROTEST is necessary. I did not insult or try to belittle the ideas of those who support or have the time to 'protest'. Nobody has the right to ask another person on this forum to keep quiet in as much as the issue discussed relates to 'a new thread for NNPC Hopefuls' which is the title of this thread. Everyone should feel free to air his view without fear or favour. I stated for clarity that I will not partake. Those who want to protest can go ahead, no offense. na their time and energy and security. If I, or any other person that feels that it is not necessary to protest, post a comment and you feel strongly against it, grow up above hate and frustration and discuss the issue and not the person. Everybody must not bow to the wishes of a few on this thread.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@pat. Ye u'r wright. Vin20, powered by his dreams, was all a SCAM. So one of d ways thru' which our budget was planned to be eaten was to create an id(Vin20) who DELIBERATELY misguided d use of Eng Lang just to appear real to us. Gave us hope and squashed it every now and den. Buh they really got me at dat oo.
I almost believed his dreams except dat he was involving PIB a lot. Vin20 might just b to make us hang on for as long as possible.

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
@slimikenna. I've not seen anybody take on u since u openly assumed ur stand on d protest. I wonder why u speak dis way. U can air u view for all we care and please stop acting like a victim here. U'r not d NNPC job here neither do u look like d NNPC management. We've even said u're d much talked abt t-fare so suck it up and continue sitting on d fence as u've always done.
Goodmorng all!

Re: A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls
sori.....we've not even said...

I believe we can also try to put this issue on air though those talk radio stations. This guys are into investigative journalism and they ll contact the ppl involve. Look this guys ll jump into action on the threat of job seekers protest. Ppl in lagos can ensure that all the radio station considered this topic on life radio and we can even start complaining about the form of harsh treatment job seekers recieve from employer from both public and private sector. Also, abuja and ph guys can also explore this means too. This is my opinion.
