A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls

while you guys are busy harping on each other over irrelevant issues as english and veracity of info being posted here, it may interest you to note that the death knell on our collective aspiration has been finally and irrevocably sounded with the release of the damning subsidy report. The minister has been indicted and recommended for prosecution. She has to be the witch of portobello to scale this hurdle. There is no doubt she is going down and with her, all her pet projects, which unfortunately includes our recruitment. It would not be out of place to conclude that the 2010 recruitment is effectively killed and buried. The new board that would be appointed will not touch, even with a ten-foot pole, anything that has to do with the former board. I hope i am wrong but in the event i am not, I enjoin fellow hopefuls to get busy with other ventures. Thankfully, I just had my ptdf phd interview yesterday. Hopefully, i would have a soft landing. ^^@sidimury, me I am jst staying at home watching African Magic and pressing F5 on "A new thread for NNPC Hopefuls".
Hoping and believing that this process be concluded and to our favour does not in anyway mean we are not doing anything better.
It has been said time and again here.Apply for more jobs(guys here are doing that),some have been promoted,others changed jobs,etc.
But I don't need to come here and say it,moreso after painting a gloomy picture about the possibility of concluding the process.
Let us be careful.That u hv options should not mean you should kill the hope of others who may not hv.
I wish you well in your Ph.D pursuit,but some of us are doing our own programmes(part time with foreign institutions) while still working.
We are all still waiting and praying for success in NNPC.

@ all wu replied my post. It appears a lot of pipl on this thread have formed a cabal; attacking any1 with counter opinions to theirs. I am not frustrated okay. I work in a prestigious company and I'm very much comfortable. Asking how I wud feel if JA, vin20 and others get the job and I don't is shear sentimentality. Typo-graphical errors and minor misplacement of words ar pardonable but not d blunders made by vin20. And no amount of criticism can over shadow the simple fact that JA and vin20 are rumour mongers.

@cente i didnt criticise you but only advised u to be always careful wt ur choice of words. A good point can be made wrongly if bad and caustic words are employed not only on NHJ but anywhere.

@sidimury,we all are aware of the goings-on and u jst gave it your own interpretations.A lot of folks here have enough academic acheivements to flaunt and some of us can afford an msc or phd abroad without ptdf assistance.we wish u well!

You are wrong you know, the new board whenever it comes on stream has every right to touch everything inside NNPC. This includes the 2010 recruitment because an appropriation was made and has been signed already. The disbursement of these funds must follow and that means they will call successful "HOPEFULS", even if the seat of the MPR becomes vacant today. The conclusion of this recruitment has been signed and sealed already, it does not depend on any human being. So no matter who, and how many persons go down in the Nations Oil and Gas sector, it is of no effect. Do have a soft landing in your PTDF PHD interview according to you.

basic comprehension is in short supply these days. it is amazing how your type are able to turn and twist innocent statements into something else. Good for you if you can afford to go abroad without assistance, but your attempt at rubbing it in is at best childish. Saying that i attended ptdf interview does not mean i want to go abroad. There is a local scholarship scheme for your info. Sometimes, it is better to keep mute and be thought a fool than to speek up and remove all doubts.

Abeg no more verbal world war III. We need info. If you are sure of the source or not, just write. In good or bad English, post. But a big kudos to all those who take their time to write and post info on this forum. And if we must analyse, lets analyse the issues not the people writing. The bible says that, all things work together for good to them that love God and to them who are called according to his purpose. God has turned the fuel subsidy probe to our favour or used it to hastened the process, bcos the whole house has adopted recommendation 17th which state(inquot) that mr president should reorganize the ministry of petroleum resources to make it more effective in carrying out the much needed reforms in oil and gas sector. What i understand from this recommendation is that now he has the power to start implementing some of the programmes in the pib pending the passage into law. Anyway that,s my own take, why am saying all these is that the list can be release anytime or even today, but resumption is programmed after some of this reform has been implemented.

I have never seen such persons with so much quest to move up in life as these NNPC hopefuls. Thumbs up guys as your period of waiting shall not be in vain!

If i get an alert today for Tfare reimbursement, I will be expecting the letter as from the next day...PCL pay my Tfare ooooooo. For those who are angry, you go just die...we go carry your body go police station, you die wrongfully...Vin20 and others bringing one info or the other, abeg carry go.

Don't you thnk the tfare will be added to the one nnpc will return to the fg. I don't even know why the apptmnt letas depend on the tfare

How does the Transport fare relate with subsidy funds, they are not managed from the same account. Subsidy funds is maintained, if you like domiciled with the CBN with the NNPC,MPR,PPPRA,Minister for Finance, Accountant General of the Federation as signatories. Transport fare is in NNPC's Private account with some other bank and not with the CBN.
The re-imbursement of the Transport Fare speaks volumes, l wonder where it was stated that NNPC will have to reimburse you with your transport fare. It was not stated in the invite and l bet you it was not done by omission. We are just presuming that it is the normal thing to do. NNPC collected Specimen signature and banking details from every candidate that was invited for the interview. If they needed to pay your transport fare, there would be no need for your specimen signature: your account number will do. I think it goes beyond that, Every single person that made it to the interview stage is employable by the NNPC.

Not until the wahala of the subsidy report has been solved.there is confusion in the towers.evrybody is trying to save his head from the incomming missile.lets pray that the new board will favour us.

There was a very strong move by NNPC to release our letters this mont,just as the info on their website suggested(from my source).however,the subsidy repot by farouk lawal commitee dis-organise the arrangement.for us as nigerians,it is a welcome development bcos the main purpose of the report is to fight corruption.but as hopefuls,it delayed our expection a little longer.let us hope that delay will not turn to complete denial.
