Is there anytin secret in Niaja? Well some info may b highly classified anyway. But if d recommendatn of d House of rep shd stand d management of NNPC will go whether top rankin or not, even d minister may nt survive if she is indicted. D best dat can happen to them is nt to b prosecuted. I just hope dat God will giv d pple at d helms of affairs d moral courage to do d right thing. Merit shd b used strictly 4 d selection if we r to take d campaign of dis govt(presidency, senate, Okonjo Iweala:world bank woman)., for merit base system serious. D issue of 10 candidate per state but 4 on merit is disgusting. I hope n pray we get it right frm here as a nation by dealing with d issues of d oil industry objectively enough is enough we shd tired of dis corrupt practices. All d best my pple with or without NNPC but we shall make d list by God's grace.
Kalox, that,s not what i meant ok but am tring to say that after pib all the top management staff will leave the corporation wch the pib propose to be passed by end of june, it can even be released next week, but resume is programmed after pib, that,s what i have been saying or tring to pass across.
Nawa oo!
Time of prayers used for bickering and permutations.
What matters is God's favour to be in the list.
Shikena!
Look vin20, mark my words. With or without PIB, this recruitment'l surely absorb atleast 1000 hopefuls. Last year d Nig Army absorbed 20per state, NAFDAC's absorbing nearly 20per state dis year, therefore NNPC, which absorbed abt 1000 in 2006 and not having recruited since den, will sure absorb more dan dat ordinarily without d PIB. Dat dese ppl have not really cared abt calling d hopefuls since must be dat dey'v been more busy lobbying to remain in their offices. I believe dey knew dat d subsidy probe report will not favour deir offices. Now dat dey'r cleared dey'v to go, I pray dey hasten d recruitment so dat it'l be ONE thing dey'ld have achieved for d corporation.
Selfish directors!!
Kalox, is true that with pib more hands is needed, but pib seek to scrap PPPRA, and PEQ and the four refineries will be privatised, therefore most the of staff,s presently working in this agencies will be transfered to new agencies that will emerge as a result of unbundle of nnpc, and if pib gets to national assembly heightest two months,it will be passed into law bcos all the issues is being ironed out now ok.and all the governor,s are actually waiting for pib to passed bcos their will get more money for developement, and more money to pay workers the new minimum wage as their klim that there are waiting for pib to implement it.
The dafalcation of public fund in the oil sector is a syndicate affair. the lawan farouk recommendation can be likened to a toothless bulldog , you can be rest assured that no head will roll bacause of its very sensitive nature. there are several personalities involved in this national embarrasment whose historicism dates back to the intervention of the imperial draftsman in our economic life.virtually all past leaders are accessories before/or after the fact.what we have seen is mere procedure.
As soon as the house debates this issue on Tuesday next week & peradventure they adopt the recommendations of the subsidy probe panel, the management of NNPC are gone. Nobody is waiting for anybody to pass PIB, already EFCC are tightening close on all of them. Take a cue from what is happening to the probe on Police Pension fund. Even if the HILL TOP Management is involved they will all go down. Do you know and understand the implications of what the NNPC, PPPRA, DPR PPMC etc have done and to the extent they have killed this country. How can you be a regulatory agency and you allow over 40 briefcase companies, without physical point of presence to participate in a scheme such as the importation of petroleum products. My friend the rot in this country is alarming, you get a scenario where one individual becomes larger than life in Nigeria, too powerful for the Federal Government of Nigeria to prosecute all because he has stashed billions of dollars stolen from the nations purse. And yet everyday on the dailies and and on the media stations you hear everybody(FG and their cohorts) talking about fighting corruption.
When are we going to start the fight????? Is it a fight our great great great grand children will fight for us.
Let the drum beats begin and whosoever that is found guilty should be made to face the music that is my stand.
A recruitment that will at most have lasted for 9 months is now spanning into years.... God forbid. I repeat God forbid. Everyday you see the tears in the eyes of the common Nigerian, you see their dried lips for want of water to quench age longed thirst, wandering about with sweat all over aimlessly searching for their daily bread doubting the existence of God, and whether he is alive here in Nigeria. They are been made to believe that certain lifestyle is never meant for them, that they are never supposed to go to certain places(5-star hotels, airports etc), Porshe cars and the good things of life are only meant for a particular family and class of people. This is what HARDSHIP has succeeded in doing through POVERTY.
Do you think if this recruitment wasn't based on 80% merit that they wouldn't have been called. They would have finished training by now or better still be rounding up their training as usual this has been the practice up till 2008 Recruitment where you get to work for NNPC and the likes by bringing recommendation letter from a first class chief, minister, governor etc.
JEHOVAH has taken over the battle, sanity has to return to this great sleeping giant called Nigeria. You play soft with them, you are only having a romance with the devil himself, as the greatest trick he ever pulled was making people believe he doesn't exist.
Nice one patorinni, 1 tin i know is that no sin done 2 man by man ll ever go unpunished, if not now certainly later, if not by man definately by God.
If the management is dissolved, and the minister stays, then we still have hope.but if she goes with them, then it is possible that we may be called by the new management.however, the chance of this happenin is very slim.the new management may come and sweep the recruitment under the carpet or they may panebit the list soo much that no single person will be employed on merit.we dont have a choice than to wait and see how the event unfolds.
Requesting for Alison's head is synonymous to pleading with GEJ to vacate his office, be guided that the only ministerial slot given to GEJ during the amiable president yardua's tenure was filled by Alison. the psychophancy of our politicians in a bid to please GEJ would ensure that they rally round and prevail on the house to treat the issue as a family affair,at worst fillibusters would only rake, rant and dawdle at the corridor of justice. dont forget that this presidency is a Niger deltan affair.
I strongly believe that before the end of this month the list should be out, bcos i heard the board has given the directive for that, and that pib will be taken to national assembly by ending of this month as i was told, the national pdp leadership will meet with pdp national assembly members on monday to discuss how to fast track the passage of pib into law, and that is our greatest hindrance to the release of list, but thankGod there is ready for presentation.
This recruitment has a 50: 50 chance of seeing the light of the day. Perchance it is favourable we the hopefuls have a 50:50 chance of making it.
Very "ungolden" silence...or una go watch match?
I don"t like the new outlook of this site... ....it seems not to be mobile friendly... ... well maybe because i dislike scrolling sideways when browsing on my phone. Anyway, greetings to all the members on this forum. May God's mercies continue to be sufficient for us, and ma His blessings as regards our career reach us quickly, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
I won't bend words, JA and Vin20 are the biggest rumour mongers I hav ever encountered in my life. JA hides under the covers of christianity to post epistles of junk! Wyl Vin20 wud post any garbage he hears: illiterate graduate. Infact, they are just like obj and atiku. Those of u who ar hopefuls on this thread shdnt depend on them again; cos u myt be so devastated in the end. They are the most crooked forumites in NHJ. They can change their words like the weather. Tell them to keep quite for once.... Their posts are uneccesary, crooked PUNKS!
My good people its better we 4get about people who will or will not be sacked at the NNPC. Let them just release our appointment letters. NNPC management operates like a political party or 2b more blunt, like a secret cult group & If u look at d calibre of those indicted in the NNPC probe its nothing that u can compare 2those of d police pension/PENCOM probe issue. We'll certainly realize later that nothing will come out of d recommendations of d NNPC probe committee. Dont forget what happened to the report and recommendations of the Ndudi Elumelu led committee that probed the power sector. If i may remind you, after they submitted the report another committee was set up to study and review the report and the report & recommendations never saw the light of the day till today due to the calibre of those indicted by the probe. I can tell u that this NNPC probe will end in the same note as that of the power probe. As for me, my only prayer is "ALMIGHTY GOD, MAY I BE AMONG THOSE THAT WILL FIND FAVOUR IN THY SIGHT WHEN THE LIST IS FINALLY RELEASED. As for those of them usurping their high positions to steal & feast on our collective national resources at the colossal detriment of the poor and downthroden, i can only say one thing which is "NO EVIL SHALL GO UNPUNISHED "
@cente;I disagree with you and pls let us refrain from discouraging people like JA who take time and efforts to gather info and post it here.I know some people's posts on this thread shld not be minded at all but not someone like JA and probably Vin20 too. Please be guided.
You agreement or disagreement does not authenticate or refute any person's information be it speculation or concrete. I would enjoin all to read and filter for themselves what they choose to align with and stop attacking others except they have their own contrary information which they are also free to share.
Nothing is official until is official. Let our hope be on HIM who knows the end for the beginning.

Its just simple maths.270,000+ applied,40,000+ were invited, very low performance as said by GMD resulted dos interviewed 2 less dan 5000 applicant.with over 4 billion naira budgeted 4 d recruitment.Y wud some people b carring rumour dat more dan 800 made d list.with dis statistics,I don't bliv dat figure of 10 per state.even without any source, dat figure is a fake source.make una talk another 1.
@ surj are u saying that 800+ is too much for nnpc to absorb or..... My friend u shud start believing what ur mind tells u its not......

House Probe: NNPC denies withdrawing N844.9b from CBN
The Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) yesterday denied taking N844.9 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
In a statement issued in Abuja, the corporation’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Levi Ajuonuma picked holes in the House Committee probe report on subsidy payment, which indicted NNPC of alleged financial malfeasance in the petroleum products subsidy scheme.
He stated that contrary to the allegation contained in the report, which accused NNPC of withdrawing from two sources simultaneously to recover its subsidy claims, the Corporation at no time made such double withdrawals.
“Such a claim is totally unfounded and absurd .We challenge both the CBN and Ad Hoc Committee to provide evidence that such payments as alleged were made to NNPC. They must show authorisation for the payments as well as breakdown of the amount, purpose for the payments, beneficiary accounts in which such payments were made and the utilisation of such payments,” he said.
The NNPC spokesman explained that rather than collecting such payments from CBN as alleged, the NNPC applied such subsidy approvals as credit due to it for domestic crude allocation.
Said Ajuonuma: “For the purposes of clarity, subsidy payments to NNPC is not based on cash remittance. The mechanics of subsidy recovery by NNPC is not fund – based but by way of deduction from crude cost due. As a matter of fact, from the commencement of the subsidy regime, there was never a time when CBN paid any money to NNPC in respect of subsidy claim.”
Ajuonuma lamented that despite the fact that all documents and information were given to the Probe Committee, it still made an “unfounded” allegation against the Corporation.
“For instance, NNPC presented to PPPRA approvals for 2011 totalling N981 billion, out of which only N844.9 billion has been credited to NNPC. But surprisingly, the Committee claimed that PPPRA approved only N504 billion and that the balance was excess payment to NNPC. What logic?” he said.
The NNPC said the Committee’s intention was really not to clarify the subsidy payments but to malign and damage the reputation of the Corporation as well as other key players of the industry.
He also picked holes in the Committee’s query of NNPC’s deduction of subsidy payment as a first line charge.
Ajuonuma said: “The basis for the deduction of both cash calls for Joint Venture operations and NNPC’S subsidy payments as a first line charge on the income of the Federal Government is statutory and founded on the Appropriation Act, which was passed by the National Assembly. Under the said Appropriation Act, certain budgetary items, including subsidy payments to the NNPC are listed as first line charges on the income of the Federation.”
“The Committee accepted the Cash Call as first line charge, yet alleged that the subsidy aspect was illegal.
“It is clear that the tune of the Committee’s report is not only damaging to the Corporation but to the entire nation. At this stage, it is pertinent to ask the question, whose interest is this committee serving?”
N-A-I-J-A. Who go catch who in this country of ours
