prince et al.....i have enjoyed reading some of your posts..u got the NDDC scholarship last year, were you able to go last year or did you have to defer because of timing? Also, if i may ask, after NDDC pays your fees to the school, do they give you the balance as maintenance fees? and how do they do that? cheers

@Don Agostino...I left last year and currently studying. Tuition fee is paid directly to your school and the balance (maintenance fee) which is legally yours is paid directly into your foreign bank account.
@all Scholars... Ecclesiastes 3:1 says there is a time for everything, a time to laugh, a time to cry, a time to pray, a time to hate and a time to love. The current top management imbroglio in NDDC calls for prayers just as Psalm 122:6a says, pray for peace in Jerusalem (in this case NDDC).

Prince et al....thats great....i was of the impression that most scholars last year couldnt go because of the delay in the selection process. Or is it that you paid with your funds, then had an arrangement with your school to get them to reimburse you after NDDC must have "paid" ? cheers

NDDC's site is open again, Maybe the much awaited miracle will happen sooner than we expected. God we are in your hands see us through.
@keyjay,at d end of d day 200 names will be published bt sme of dose names will come from oda angles(politics and all)

@alphamale,only 2 Pple have seen d list, d MD himself nd D director of Education,health nd social services,No oda staff in nddc has an idea of what or who is on d list for now.
I totally doubt what u posted. Things are a lot secretive nw after d probe that just happened.

@misslavee,as I said earlier, d list is still crude with above 280 names,d Director,Md nd d Management Board will sit and den still fine tune it.The Md will do d final sign off on it before it is going to be published.I have no idea when it will be,bt my source tells me a copy will be on one of d dailies while anoda on deir website,jst like dey did for d interview stage.
Pending on how organized they are,all of this can be done in a couple of days or hours .we will keep watching and praying

i call a guy that works in nddc dis morning and he said that there was no work for 2 weeks that the presidential community was in port harcourt and that even now that they are gone, work is slow to pick-up.
the shocking story is that if the names finally comes out, it will take a month for nddc to process the payment so i just use my teeth count my tongue.if can source for fun and arrange for a refund by the school, i.e if ur sure ur name will appear ooooooooooooooooooooo.as for me i don take off gaddafi

What exactly is going on? Are we sure this process is not being compromised? I am beginning to doubt the sincerity and integrity of these people...
This shouldn't be a surprise to most of us that followed last year's list to the end. the delay last year was worse than this. Almost all the scholars had to defer their admission till this year. So.....this is nothing new at allQuote:

i beg to differ beethoven.i strongly blv d list wld be out any moment from now.I think the delay is due to the normal 'panel beating' that comes with things like this in our beloved country

I think someone somewhere in this thread mentioned that NDDC ran the most organised scholarship scheme in Nigeria. I hope he/she is still observing this thread. Also, i earlier suggested that those of us that do not have personal funds to begin our programmes should start thinking of deferring our admissions. I still stand by this, because I dont see the possibility of our fees being paid (that is if we eventually make the final list) in less than a month from now.

Their website is down again!!! Hacked on Saturday. It will take them another 2wks to resolve this one (No work too, I presume) before they finally release the list. Again we should pray nothing negative happens to nddc before then. Yeye NDDC with yeye excuses......

Believe me or not a lot things have to change in this country, now the situation is becoming similar to last year's. The whole aim of starting the application early is near being defeated now (at least for some people). How can a whole organization shutdown for two weeks because of the visit of some people from Abuja...It sounds weird doesn't it? it goes a long way to show how for granted government things are taken.....U can go to work when u like, close office when u like, treat serious issues like the NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship anyhow u like without considering how it affects ur prospective scholars, all in the name of one issue or the other hindering u from doing your work effectively. Flimsy excuses will given in the end for not making available the list as at when due. God will definitely deliver us from all these in due time. I'm waiting patiently.
