Terminal Operations
Job Summary:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication between all functions and departments
  • Performs Supervisory role over depot Engineers on the upkeep and maintenance of Terminal equipment and other assets
  • Total compliance to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies, quality management systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Undertake monthly mock fire drills and share/discuss the shortcomings to avoid its recurrence in future
  • Ensure the removal of water from the storage tanks regularly
  • Review customers feedbacks and complaints and initiate appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence
  • Liaise with port and other authorities for priority and safe berthing of vessels, product discharge and documentations
  • Maintenance of highest safety standards during entire receipt, storage, and dispatch activities.
  • Monitor terminal loss assessment and control, product transit loss assessment monitoring and taking corrective action against future occurrence.
  • Oversees trucks loading operations in the terminal, and road freight negotiations
  • Responsible for product accounting - own and third party
  • Maintenance of spares, and other equipment in stores for efficient running of terminal operations
  • Operations cost monitoring and control measures (utilities, consumables and overtime)
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on operations and HSSE
  • Encourage subordinates to generate fresh ideas in reducing cost while maintaining the same standards


Position Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:

  • Candidates must possess a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Possession of a project management certification is desirable.
  • Candidate must have 3-5 years relevant experience in terminal operations



Skills

  • In-depth Knowledge of electrical or mechanical equipment.
  • Must have an eye for details.
  • Should have highly developed skills in leading and managing third party professionals. Marc12

  • A matured professional capable of relating with wide range of persons while espousing dispassionate and objective views.
  • Sound interpersonal, persuasive and technical skills combined with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a busy work load.
  • Must be self-motivated, ambitious and a quick learner.
  • Excellent organization, communication and negotiation skills.
