The factory is located in Lagos and will be manufacturing a range of biscuits meeting stringent UB standards and providing better quality biscuits at affordable prices to targeted consumers.

Job Title: Marketing Manager
Job Location: Lagos

We are recruiting a Marketing Manager in Nigeria who can really step change our activities and brand awareness in the region. The role is very hands on and we are looking for a creative marketer who can deliver across the four P’s. This is a critical role within the business and its essential the candidate has solid FMCG Marketing experience where you have demonstrated your ability to grow market share and execute effectively marketing campaigns across the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To support the A&P CEO and Head of Commercial with the implementation of marketing plans to deliver business objectives in line with vision.
  • Developing, presenting and implementing the marketing plan for the region.
  • Develop all Trade Marketing initiatives throughout Nigeria
  • Support developing the annual budget in terms of spend, activities etc.
  • Develop and implement pan regional promotional activity
  • Develop and implement sampling activities, and other BTL activities that come up during the year
  • Manage relationship with AC Nielsen, analyse data, and ensure analysis is used to optimise our business
  • Develop sell-in documents and sales presenters
  • Undertake ad-hoc research projects as requested
  • Report regional KPI’s to the UK
  • Planning for new launches: Develop a launch plan by region within Nigeria
  • Setting strategy by market by channel by category: Traditional and modern trade
  • Regular visits to the market for better understanding, getting insight from the ground and enhancement for the execution; followed by reports highlighting actions required by UB


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience as Marketing Manager in a similar FMCG business
  • Proven track record in delivery of marketing activities where share space and brand awareness has increased
  • Must have experience in Nigeria
  • Degree qualified and experience of managing a team, working with cross functional teams
