Position Project ManagerJob Description
This position is a unique opportunity to manage complete specialist oil and gas projects through all phases of their execution from conception to completion across multiple locations in the world. As such you are the key interface between the client and Spie Oil & Gas Services, and you are responsible for the technical, financial, and safe execution of the project.
Your main duties will be:
- Take the lead over all phases of a project’s execution from technical, operational, legal and financial in coordination with these internal discipline specialists
- Participate in tender bid preparation for projects, including technical and pricing consultations
-Successfully deliver completed projects on time, on target and on budget according to the project execution plan
-Negotiate claims and deviations
Ideally you will have graduated in engineering with a specialty in Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Telecoms. You should have minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas industry. You must be used to working under pressure and be willing to relocate to African countries (Angola, Nigeria, Gabon, Congo and Algeria) for some phases of the projects when required. You need to have experience of managing client relationships and negotiations and have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
You are fluent in English and French, and fluency in additional languages such as Portuguese would be an advantage.
