Turbine Specialist

Localisation:Offshore
Rotation: 4 weeks ON / 4 weeks OFF
Mobilisation: July 2015 Operation and Maintenance:
  • The Turbine Specialist supports all the maintenance activities related to the turbine equipment; he is in contact with the Turbine vendor technical department in order to share any technical information that could be useful for the maintenance of the equipment
  • Responsible to plan, schedule, perform and close all the maintenance preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance related to the Turbines
  • Responsible to review and assess the necessary spare parts and consumable for each activity
  • Responsible to report and update the relevant information to be included into the GMAO system
  • He is responsible of the analysis of the most common failure of the turbines and to provide an engineering solution which could avoid it
  • Organises and performs on site the maintenance operations level 4 and 5 which are placed under his responsibility,
  • Ensures that all maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in strict compliance with COMPANY operating procedures and any relevant statutory legislation in order to maintain all such equipment in sound and safe operating condition,
  • Keeps a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programmes and, if need be, suggests improvements,
  • He guarantees a good level of availability of the equipment he is responsible for on production sites.
  • Reporting to the client for any technical issues related with the turbines
  • Engineering proposal concerning technical solutions to generally improve the performance of the turbine



Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications required:

  • Substantial knowledge of maintenance on Oil&Gas facilities,
  • 10+ years as Turbine Engineer / Specialist,
  • Acquired knowledge and experience in Rolls Turbines,
  • Ability to lead and motivate multi-national teams,
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral, and presentation skills,
  • Working language: English,
  • Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site,
  • Perfectly competent and independent in his field, he must show common sense and organisational ability,
