It's easy to ramble on and on even in a regular job interview; you are challenged even more in a phone interview because you have no idea how your interviewer is reacting to your story. 4. Have the website for whatever company or organization that you're interviewing at up on your internet browser. Take advantage of the fact that your interviewer can't see you - if they ask you something or you suddenly need to come up with a question for them, the website will give you plenty of ideas. Just don't type so loudly that they can hear it!

5. Take the time to highlight parts of your resume or accomplishments that fit with the company's mission. Especially in this economy, every little bit helps - and showing the company that you care enough to show them why you fit in might just do the trick
