1.) Job Title: EHS Manager

Role Summary/Purpose:
The EHS Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the region, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage EHS framework and drive change management within SSA


- Assist GE Energy businesses with acquisitions & divestitures.


- Work with Energy EHS HQ Transactions & Integration lead to ensure Energy EHS process is followed for each transaction.


- Assist with compliance at GE Energy sites, conduct audits and training, work with local EHS resources on site issues.


- Evaluate risks & challenges for all new projects & services, and support business EHS leads.


- Support business on all EHS external outreach activities.


- Liaise with regulatory agencies to develop strong relationships and provide strategic EHS regulatory guidance to GE operations in Africa


- Work closely with GE EHS leaders to institute programs that drive regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of key EHS compliance metrics across GE Africa operations.


- Be a guide & mentor to EHS professionals in Africa.


- Work with EHS leadership team to build an EHS leadership pipeline in region.


- Assist businesses with all HQ EHS initiatives such as OneGE, Risk Reduction, NoHarm etc.


Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or Environmental Science


- Excellent leadership & communication skills


- Minimum 10 years of EHS experience.


- In-depth Knowledge of EHS regulations.


- Expertise with EHS Management Systems


- Experience with customer interactions.


- Advanced computer skills, primarily with MS office software


- Lean Six Sigma / Quality certification/experience


- Proven ability to lead and manage global program in a matrix organizational environment


- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and interact effectively with personnel in multiple locations within Africa and globally.

2.) Job Title: Aftermarket Design Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose:
A Design Engineer within the Aftermarket Engineering team must be able to interpret customer’s specification/requirements to produce a practical and cost effective design/solution to meet the design or maintenance requirements. They should ensure cost effective rework / refurbishment solutions for returned from field equipment, compliance to original design specifications, verification calculations based upon rework requirements.


Essential Responsibilities: – Interpret customer specifications and identify equipment required to satisfy specifications.
- Ensure that equipment is reworked / refurbished in accordance with current HSE legislation.
- Prepare and approve factory acceptance test procedures, Operational & Maintenance procedures and inspection/ test reports.
- Undertake design verification, which may include but not limited to: risk analysis, failure analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Design Reviews, and Design Calculations to establish a full Design Verification Package (DVP) to satisfy the verification plan. Ensure DVP has third party or independent review.
- Check and approve rework layout and detail drawings.
- Review/disposition survey reports.
- Establish repair practices and engineering repair work scopes.
- Adhere to and meet Engineering work schedules.
- Liaise with Sales and Manufacturing departments and provide technical support as required.
- Provide Aftermarket engineering support for the service of installed Subsea Production Equipment (SSPE), Surface Well Equipment (SWE), Capital Drilling Equipment (CDE) & Subsea Wellhead Equipment (SSWE) and provide options for customers on refurbishment/ repair of products.
- Ensure all work is conducted with integrity and in an environmentally and safe manner


Qualifications/Requirements: – BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered status preferred.
- Fully proficient with ePIMS database
- Strong knowledge of materials, welding and heat treatment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and design codes.
- Knowledge of Engineering design theory and manufacturing techniques.
- Have a working knowledge of systems, procedures and other departments within the company.
- Desire to provide world class service to customers by aligning global teams under the service platform.

3.) Job Title: Marketing & Growth Director

Role Summary/Purpose


Role will be part of a marketing center of excellence that will be focused on supporting the emerging growth regions within the GGO with marketing capability expertise. This virtual center of excellence will consist of 10 marketing experts that are located around the world.
Locations for these roles will be open to several countries in Sub-Sahara Africa including Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa
Essential Responsibilities
Member of a virtual Center of Expertise (CoE) comprised of globally-based employees aligned to provide support and expertise to GE’s regional teams in area of organic growth, with a strong focus on market intelligence, key industrial verticals and market development efforts, with an emphasis on supporting the GGO teams in the growth markets.
Participate in a CoE structure that offers a broad range of marketing and commercial expertise.
Support regional Growth teams and global businesses, as required, to advance local market knowledge and strategic growth initiatives. Support provided would include, but not be limited to: market and competitive intelligence, country assessments, customer segmentation and value proposition, development of new go-to-market strategies and business models, and understanding of industry trends (region & customer base).
Work on key projects as assigned by the Growth CoE Leader across the GGO regions with key focus on emerging markets. Serve as “player coach” for regions and team.
Provide key marketing fundamentals on a project basis: collection and analysis of market and competitive intelligence and action as it is required to differentiate GE in the marketplace.
Support key processes, frameworks and projects surrounding key customers and competitors.
Working with regional Growth and Commercial teams, create and communicate appropriate customer value that builds an opportunity pipeline in the regions.
Find and interpret broad spectrum of market research to generate business insights, and recommend GE competitive strategies.
Evaluate and make recommendations to the leadership on disruptive technologies, new trends, and other events.
Partner with businesses to complete rigorous data analysis, and market based evaluations. Promote and support innovation efforts including the incubation and commercialization of new technologies and business models, and explore new segments and customers.
Drive functional tools and/or processes for segmentation, value proposition development, and VOC activities. Support programs to develop differentiation, targeting and positioning strategies to drive growth and segment penetration.
The expectation is for the successful applicant to remain at their current home location and fly in to projects in specific global locations for an set period of #months, typically 2-6 months
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, business, marketing, or related field. .
At least 7 years’ operational experience in Marketing or Market Development, driving functional tools and processes
Ability to work independently
