Job Description
An indigenous company, Incorporated in 1994 under the Companies and Allied Matter Decree of 1990. The Company is engaged in services such as Maritime operations, Dredging Services, Ship building and repairs, Road Flow lines and Pipelines as well as Transportation & logistics. Developing rapidly under the management of competent and prudent hands and becoming a household name for quality.
We are looking for suitably qualified personnel to fill this position.

Job Description:
Signals operator to guide
Learn and follow safety regulations
Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects
Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment
Start engines, move throttles, switches, or levers, or depress pedals to operate machines, such as bulldozers, trench excavators, road graders, or backhoes
Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain
Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
Align machines, cutter heads, or depth gauge makers with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers
Adjust hand wheels and depress pedals to control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers, or swing booms
Operate tractors or bulldozers to perform such tasks as clearing land, mixing sludge, trimming backfills, or building roadways or parking lots
Operate loaders to pull out stumps, rip asphalt or concrete, rough-grade properties, bury refuse, or perform general cleanup
Check fuel supplies at sites to ensure adequate availability
Locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work.
Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkages, or power takeoff shafts to tractors
Repair and maintain equipment, making emergency adjustments or assisting with major repairs as necessary

Documentation Knowledge:
Driver logbook
Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Maintenance and repair reports
Trip reports
Accident or incident reports

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A)
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
WHMIS Certificate
H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness) Training
First Aid Certificate
Physically demanding

Specific Skills:
Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Perform preventive maintenance
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Loading and unloading of goods
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
Perform brake adjustments

Training & Knowledge:
Diploma: Secondary School Certificate combined with relevant experience
Training: Quality system (ISO), transportation of high density commodities

Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Excavator Operator
5 years clean driving abstract
Valid Driver’s Licence

Type of Travel:
Must be willing to travel and work on the site in EDO state
