Emerging markets Telecommunication Services trading as Etisalat Nigeria seeks to fill this POSITION: Data Centre Facility Support Specialist Reports to: Manager M & EWORK BASE AREA: ABUJA & LAGOSRoles & ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control network element capacity utilisation and always ensure that utilisation level does not exceed the industry standard. (Where applicable, prepare reports on capacity constraints to the relevant units for possible equipment upgrade).Support Network Quality Assurance in regular monitoring, tracking and reporting of discrepancies in network elements and reporting same to the relevant stake holders.Keep an updated list and layout of all nodes installed in the data centre indicating clearly their details/specifications near and far end connectivity,Execute all DC Operations activities in compliance with approved changes.Ensure all installed equipment in the data centre are maintained in accordance with the outlined maintenance schedules and procedures while keeping a comprehensive maintenance history of all equipment.Build and maintain effective relationships with switch implementation vendors as well as coordinate maintenance activities between the vendors and internal stakeholders in terms of planning, scheduling and database management.Ensure that the organizational quality policy is complied with on all core network O&M and identify those areas where the quality policy needs improvement for escalation to quality assurance unit’s appropriate action.Requirements:First degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.Postgraduate (MSC) / professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.4years relevant experience in Mechanical/Electrical (Power) systems (Diesel Generators, Rectifiers, UPS, Inverters, PDF/APD panels, GTS/ATS/AMF panels, Gear Switches, HVAC, Public mains supply, power and signal cabling, safety and isolation systems, etc ) within a large telecoms or other related technical organization with extensive industry experience on power operation and maintenance.Qualified/interested candidates should forward updated / detailed resume to [email protected] or before Monday, January 16, 2012.
