Job Title: Assistant Manager-Engineering Office
Location: Lagos

Job Summary:
Will be in charge of the administration and management of the engineering office, reporting to the Head of engineering. Safe keeping of spare parts and control of spare parts stock.

Responsibilities:
Active roll in the plant leadership team for overall planning and decision-making process for plant production and equipment.
Assist the Department Manager with people leadership of the Engineering Department.
Assist in the direct supervision for Maintenance Manager, staff engineers, and admin support.
Conduct training and development needs assessment of engineering department team members.
Support safety goals.
Co-manage safety projects as they relate to plant equipment modifications.
Knowledge of plant fire protection systems and insurance program.
Oversee plant environmental compliance.
Assist in managing the following projects and budgets (planning, quoting,purchasing, implementing) and initiate improvement plans when needed:
Responsible for assisting with the maintenance function of the plant facilities and equipment.
Responsible for assisting with all outside contractors and general plant contracts.
Assist in the short and long term goal setting for engineering and maintenance departments.

Qualifications and Requirements:
BSc/HND Engineering
6 – 8 years of experience
Able to manager spare parts management for import & local purchase
Should be familiar with technical description of spare parts
Must have excellent computer skills(Microsoft office) and administrative management
Should be able to prepare engineering monthly report by compiling data of engineering departments
Preference will be given to candidate with experience in MIS system & Project expenditure monitoring module
