CROSS RIVER BASIN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY(AN AGENCY OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA)
VACANCIES FOR EMPLOYMENT
The cross river Basin Development Authority requires the services of suitably qualified candidates with the indicated qualification and experience to fill the under-mentioned vacant positions.
1. Position: senior civil servant/water engineer: GL:10
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in civil engineer/hydraulic engineering with bias towards water engineering from a recognised university or such other qualification registrable with COREN plus at least 5 years post qualification cognate experience. Possession of computer relevant skills in AUTO CAD and EXCEL would be an added advantage.
2. Position: civil/water engineering I: GL 09
QUALIFIATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in civil engineer/hydraulic engineering with bias towards water engineering from a recognised university or such other qualification registrable with COREN plus at least 3 years cognate experience. Possession of computer relevant skills in AUTO CAD and EXCEL would be an added advantage.
3. Position: civil/water engineering II: GL 08
QUALIFIATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in civil engineer/hydraulic engineering with bias towards water engineering from a recognised university or such other qualification registrable with COREN . 4. Position: Senior Agricultural/Irrigation Engineer: GL 10
QUALIFIATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering or civil engineering from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification registrable with COREN plus at least 5 years post qualification cognate experience. Possession of computer relevant skills in AUTO CAD and EXCEL would be an added advantage.
5. Position: Agricultural/Irrigation engineering I: GL 09
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering or civil engineering from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification registrable with COREN plus at least 3 years post qualification cognate experience. Possession of computer relevant skills in AUTO CAD and EXCEL would be an added advantage.
6. Position: Agricultural/ Irrigation Engineer II: GL 08
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering or civil engineering from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification registrable with COREN. Possession of computer relevant skills in AUTO CAD and EXCEL would be an added advantage.
7. POSITION: Accountant I: GL 09
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in Accountancy from a recognised university plus at least 3 years post-qualification cognate experience or possession of higher diploma plus the professional Diploma of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN). Possession of relevant computer skill would be an added advantage.
8. Position: Accountant II: GL 08
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess a degree in Accountancy from a recognised university. Possession of relevant computer skill would be an added advantage.
9. Position: Irrigation Agronomist I: GL 09
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant should possess a degree in crop science or Agricultural soil science, with a minimum of second class honours from a recognised university and must have at least 2 years post qualification cognate. Candidate must be computer literate.
10. Position: Irrigation Agronomist II: GL 08
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant should possess a degree in crop science or Agricultural soil science, with a minimum of second class honours from a recognised university. Candidate must be computer literate.
11. Position: Geologist: GL 09
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess any of the following qualifications.
I) A degree in Geology, mining or Exploratory Geology with elementary topographical surveying as a subsidiary subject from a recognised university.
II) A degree and post graduate diploma in geochemistry or geology with specialisation in geochemistry from a recognised university.
12. Position: Planning Officer I: GL 09
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidate should possess a minimum of bachelor degree of second class honours from a recognised university in science, Agricultural sciences, social sciences, management and 3 years cognate experience. Candidate must be proficient in computer application for data analysis.
13. Position: Planning officer II: GL 08
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidate should possess a minimum of bachelor degree of second class honours from a recognised university in science, Agricultural sciences, social sciences, management. Candidate must be proficient in computer application for data analysis.
14. Engineering Laboratory Technologist: GL 09
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: candidate must possess the Associate membership (certificates) of the Institute of science and Technology (AIST).
15. Position: Higher Technical officer(civil): GL 08
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: applicant for the position should possess full Technological certificate (craft) of the city and Guilds Institute of London in a relevant subject, OND in a relevant in a relevant subject from a recognised Institute plus at least 4 years post qualification cognate experience or HND in civil Engineering or relevant subject from a recognised Institution.
16. Position: Higher Technical officer (survey): GL 08
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess any of the following:
I) HND in surveying from a recognised Institution or OND in surveying or other related subject from a recognised Institution.
II) Full Technological certificate (craft) of the city and Guilds Institute of London in survey or related subject or part I or II of the Advance course at the school of survey Oyo.
III) At least 2 years cognate experience for OND. Craft and part I of survey school certificate holders.
IV) 3 years for part II of survey school certificate holders.
Knowledge of computer, GPS and GIS will be added advantage.
17. Position: Data Processing officer: GL 07
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant for the position should possess any of the following:
i) OND in computer studies or Data Processing From a recognised Institution plus at least 2 years post-qualification cognate experience.
ii) HND in Data processing or computer science from a recognised Institution.
CONDITION OF SERVICE
The post are pensionable. The conditions of service and remuneration are as in the Federal Civil Service. Applicatant who are coming flesh into public service should not be less than 18 years and not more than 50 years of age. Serving officers are require to route their application through their heads of department.
