Job Description
An engineering and human resource company which was incorporated on the 17 day of December, 1992, with the objective of building, nurturing, and developing a unique and efficient establishment, professional, reputable and reliable in whichever area of service it vows capacity and competence.
These areas include manpower supply and support services, oilfield services, water supply schemes or projects, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering consultancy and construction services, equipment leasing, haulage and transportation services as well as supply of construction materials and equipment such as pumps, valves, meters, pipes and fittings, fire fighting and personal protective equipment and product

Job Summary:
To monitor, analyse and manage progress of all civil/ structural activities associated with development of the SSAGS+ project to deliver value to the JV.
To co-ordinate all civil/structural aspects of the construction of the project facilities, in a manner that will ensure that the .
construction complies with the design and the mechanical completion is on schedule
In the execution of these activities, the roles cover key aspects of the EP Business model:
Manage Projects/Project Execution Planning & Contracting & Procurement D20
Construct Facilities (A12.03)
Commission Facilities (A12.04)
Prepare As-Built Drawings
Prepare Facilities for Handover


Responsibilities:
Coordinate and ensure that appropriate resources are available for the construction, commissioning, start-up and seamless hand over of the project facilities to the Asset Team
Bring in constructability expertise to bear at every step of the facility design
Plan, co-ordinate and participate in safety, quality and technical reviews to assure overall facilities integrity and safe operations, in line with the project quality plan
Review Contractors’ HSSE and quality plans in order to ensure compatibility with Nigerian and The Client’s standards and specifications
Identify and evaluate process hazards, develop hazardous area classification, and contribute to the development of HEMP documentation
Participate in or lead project audits/ Constructability Reviews, HAZOPs, HAZID and QRAs during
concept development, conceptual, front-end and detail design. Implement recommendations of the
ESHIA studies in the facilities designs and specifications
Ensure that The Client’s management and JV partners are kept appraised and have a clear picture of
the business performance in this area by issuing timely, accurate and concise project progress reports
Maintain business and technical controls, and cost challenges to ensure that the project objectives are met
Identify areas of concern or threats to the project schedule/delivery and take appropriate pro-active remedial actions to minimise the impacts
Producing the closeout reports immediately upon completion of the project, highlighting areas for
lateral learning and suggested areas of interest for post implementation reviews
Managing a significantly manpower intensive business activity which is very widely spread out geographically and serving many different customers.
Managing multiple interfaces, to achieve synchronised and timely delivery, whilst minimising potential for Contractor downtime and claims.
Managing the seemingly conflicting objectives of contracting for economy of scale and the use of civil contractors from the local communities.
Embed the customer focus mentality into the business.
Managing 3rd party and regulator relationships (including NAPIMS & DPR) to ensure agreement with and timely approval of project proposals.
Achieving stringent National Content directives

Qualifications and Requirements:
A COREN registrable first degree in Civil engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in Civil/structural design, project management & construction in the Oil Industry.including management of a diverse range of major civil projects in a difficult environment.
Leadership skills of a high order, to communicate with and motivate a large team in a complex and frustrating environment.
Advanced Project Management skills including Cost Engineering/Estimating, Budgeting, Contracting, Scheduling, Supervision, HSE & Community, Quality and Data management.
Advanced communication and engagement skills in a multi-cultural environment within the Oil Industry Communication and Influencing skills to effectively deal with stakeholders including Senior Joint Venture Partners NAPIMS.
The candidate shall have good liaison capabilities, third party relations management competence and high performance/human management capability
Familiarity with SHELL DEP codes, other industry codes and practices
