Pls when did you get the invitation? where did you write the first test? thanks
i was also called for the pet eng skill test on 5th may. PLEASEEEEE help with skills teat format, especially those that wrote for the drilling position. help a fellow nhjobber please.
@multiphase, i wrote the test in lagos. cant remember the exact date
I actually wrote mine in Lagos, after that of Warri's centre was postphoned. I cant believe I did not pass that test. Please any Warri candidate help me with an info, if I am correct. Thanks
Iyke jigga congrats. Pls were you invite via email ,text or a????? phone ?.when did U????? get ur invitation?
@obidawg pls read my write up very well. Thanks sha, I recieve in in good faith
Hello house, please help me clarify this issue. i was called for pet eng. test by chevron on 04 march. i did the test at cham city. latter, i heard that they did two tests. is this true and if true when was that? till now i did not hear anything from either cham or chevron, i did not even see or know my test score. thanks
Hello house, please help me clarify this issue. i was called for pet eng. test by chevron on 04 march. i did the test at cham city, Lagos-State. latter, i heard that they did two tests. is this true and if true when was that? till now i did not hear anything from either cham or chevron, i did not even see or know my test score. thanks
Anybody with materials (Petroleum Engineering) can please help the house. Thanks
guys huge congrats to u all that got the IV but please lets be specific with things HAS ANY WARRI CENTER PERSON(S) BEEN CALLED AND WHO KNOWS WHETHER THEY ARE SENDING IV IN BATCHES.
Can some1 confirm if they are still sending out mails...
My mail must come ooo.
@chukzy4u yes o, our mail must come ooo
please those who took the drilling engr skills test should give us some area of concentration.
please those who took the drilling engr skills test should help us out with test areas
concrete on petroleum things, especially calculations
@realmemo wot do u mean exactly by that coz i be mechanical engr and dont know much about petroleum engr.
it did suprise us who wrote the drilling test too, but you just have write something, it was mainly drilling calculations.
@realmemo, why are you a good liar. u started another thread asking those that wrote the drilling test to speak up, which is an indication that you do not know what was written.
pls area of concentration is needed ooooo. it seems the drilling test was not easy at all. if not, why the sudden silence after the test. the test were probably unexpected and difficult. pls, drilling engr guys, speak up. you dont ve anything to lose, after all we did not apply for the same position!!
@RealMemo abeg check ur profile, i drop u message. Also did u really take the test bcos dis guy here has a point
Hello mates , pls did anyone who wrote for pet engr in chams city ph invited. At all. Seems all invitees are lagos candidates
i don't need to reiterate, i ve said d truth cos every 1 wants a job why ll i decieve u, dis is d last of it to d wise.
I wrote the drilling test. I wouldnt be surprised if it was difficult for many ppl. It was filled with drilling calculations just few essay questions. Lots of hydraulics, cement volume, mud volume, pressure, pumpstrokes and some basic drilling questions. 25 questions to answer in 1hr 15mins. I will advice u study ur basics petroleum stuff and calculations also get in touch with anyone who wrote the test in the pas and ask for areas that the question came from.
guys read up everything U've got on reservoir engrg, material balancing, rock properties, etc laying a lot of emphasis on your calculations, it does nt matter if U do not have a Pet Eng background...we aren't going for a test we are actually going for an exam (lol and calm urself abeg...God pass them)
@Favord1 and Triple-C, God bless u a million times (literally). you are very much blessed. may all your desires come true this year. Thanks
thanks a lot for the advice triple-c, make i go find books be dat. but also anyone wit materials can holla me on [email protected]
anyone that needs any of these Reservoir Engineering books should drop his mail addy in my inbox, pls DO NOT DROP IT OPENLY...SCAMMERS ARE ALWAYS SOURCING OPENLY DROPED MAIL ADDY.
1. Fundamentals of Reservoir Engineering by L. P. Dake
2. Reservoir Engineering Handbook by Tarek Ahmed
3. The Practice of Reservoir Engineering by L. P. Dake
4. Applied Petroleum Reservoir Engineering by B. C. Craft and M. F. Hawkins
pls if anyone has a more streamlined and organised study material instead of these very big books I will appreciate it, bearing in mind that I am of the Mechanical Engineering Background...lol
Please take some time out to inbox me your mail addy, so I could make a more personalised request. 10x guys
@6foot+...Just send some to U
@6foot+...Please sorry abt the mis-information, tot it had gone, but realised the internet strength has gone down...would send it ASAP, 10x 4 understanding man!
@6Ft+...Now I can authoritatively tell U that I have sent One(FUndamentals of RE by LPDake)
The skill test for petroleum engineering position consists of basic petroleum engineering/reservoir engineering questions and some physics questions. The one I did in 2006 had two parts - A and B. Part A are basic physics questions like frictions and circuit questions. Part B is Petroleum Engineering questions - Material balance, Darcy's steady state flow equation, decline curve analysis, pressure calculations, adiabatic workdone by compressors in compressing gas etc.
They are all theory questions and we were give 2 and half hours to answer four questions from part B and eight questions in part A. Part A questions carried 10marks each while part B carried five marks each. The time was no enough to answer all the questions.
All the questions were given in petroleum field units, so those that didnt read petroleum engineering or have not been exposed to petroleum engineering were greatly disadvantaged.
Decline curve analysis, Darcy law, Workdone by compressors, Material balance equation, pressure calculation (in pet. field units), specific gravity calculations, etc with some basic physics questions. I wrote mine in 2006 and it consisted of two parts. 12 theory questions to be answered in 2 1/2hrs. For those without petroleum engineering it will be too tough.
@kjosefa...many thanks man, I appreciate ur time and effort put into sharing this with us. I am of the mech eng background, "I will do my rest and leave the best for God to do for me" because everyone seems to be saying the same thing of those without Pet eng background.
10x 1ce again
Chei, this Skilled Test don wear SKIRT ehhhhhh.....Lord God Almighty...U remain my source of strength! Its my turn.
hello people, please, is the same skills test the Pet. Eng. candidates and the Earth Science candidates would take?
I wrote the drilling test on the 20th. The questions are basic drilling engineering, basic for some one with a more than a year experience. I don't expect them to ask you guys petroleum questions, since the pet position does not require experience. I wish you guys best of luck. Cheers
as for those wanting to know if the chevron skill test is in batches,i can confidently tell you it is.i succeeded in reaching my friend in dragnet who told me the results have been forwarded to cheveron who have started calling in batches.Brethren just keep praying and believe your time has come, peace
Hello house, i would like to know if any pet. eng who did the dragnet test in chams city PH has been invited for skills test? Is there a way one can know the test score. Thanks
