JOB TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Minimum Education & Experience:

Incumbent must be a graduate in a technical discipline with a working knowledge of the oil and gas industry and experience in implementing business management principles and practices.
• Prior experience and relations with NAPIMS and major E&P development companies is desired.
• Experience in design/construction and project management of oil and gas facilities is essential.
• Experience with development and implementation of project management processes, i.e. contract management, procurement, project accounting, document and resource management is essential.
• Experience should be a minimum of 10 years in E&P environment plus another 3 years as Business Development Manager.
• Must have excellent inter-personal, negotiating and leadership skills as well as good communications skills (i.e. strong listening, report writing and presentation).
• Excellent PC skills, with emphasis on database and data analysis skills

Key Job Responsibilities:
• Registration / Prequalification, Prospecting, Generation and Receipt of enquiries / tenders with Major oil and gas companies
• Preparation and compilation of techno-commercial proposal for engineering and related services for submission of bid to client.
• Ensure that the commercial content of EPC Tenders/Contracts and other related project contracts are developed in line with the contracting strategy and provide the commercial support in the execution of all contracts
• Develop and maintains Business Relations with the oil and gas companies as well as other industry Tender Boards, Commercial Function, Finance Organization, the Human Resources Function, Services Organization, the Supply Chain Management and Logistics Function and the Information Technology Function within the industries.
• Interfacing with major EPC contractors and vendors to understand their business requirements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly Progress Reports for Senior Management.
• Develop own skills and competence in line with changing business needs and technical advances in discipline. Evaluate and capture new knowledge and learning.
• Lead in POINT Coaching and mentoring scheme for young graduates.
