An Upstream oil and gas servicing company in lagos, requires the service of a:

Business Development Executive – Major Projects (Lagos) reporting to the Manager- Major Projects

Location: Lagos

Overall Purpose of the Role:
To assist with the attainment of company’s business growth objectives; articulating new business development opportunities from major projects in the upstream sector of the Oil and Gas Industry.

Responsibilities:
Develop technical and commercial knowledge of all our product offerings and services.
Contribute to the attainment of the company’s business development strategies.
Gather necessary intelligences and prepare reports, tenders and presentations that will win the company contracts in on-going and/or upcoming projects.
Implement the company’s business development system, policies, processes and procedures.
Identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities and put together feasibility reports supporting growth based on intelligence.
Update the major projects register as and when due and circulate to appropriate persons.
Identify immediate and long term needs by clients for company’s products and services on such projects.
Arrange meetings between E& P Companies and our partners.
Liaise between the company and key agencies in the industry such as NAPIMS , DPR etc.
Manage day to day relationships with partners and clients and develop a deep understanding of their needs.
Negotiate and close-up deals with partners and clients.
Monitor company’s performance against defined performance indices.
Prepare and submit to the Manager, Major Projects reports as and when required.

Person Specification/ Competencies:

A good University degree
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
A good knowledge of up-coming and on-going key projects in the upstream sector of the Oil and Gas Sector.
Business development experience with E& P companies
Good relationship management skills
Relationships with E& P companies
Sound written and oral communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Excellent intelligence gathering skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally.
A team player.
