JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure prompt daily lodgment of cheques into the company’s bank accounts and follow up.
2. Ensure timely reporting of Returned Cheques.
3. Ensure effective cash management through monitoring of lodgment into company’s bank account to reduce COT and other bank charges
4. Daily monitoring of cash Position as well as ensuring that payment requisitions are treated timely.
5. Ensure safe Keeping of Security Documents e.g cheques and tellers, vouchers and receipts and cash at hand.
6. Ensure timely execution of Port Harcourt Branch payment requisitions.




MAIN FUNCTIONS

1. Ensure adequate documentation of inter company transactions and proper accounting.
2. Provide necessary inputs for the ALCO Report, which must be ready by 1pm on Thursday preceding the ALCO.
3. Ensure adequate staff cash and tour advance accounts and reconcile staff advance account.
4. Maintaining the group’s petty cash/imprest system. Ensure petty cash disbursements are analyzed and promptly reimbursed.
5. Ensure prompt attention to approved lease and credit transactions submitted to accounts and liaise with other team members to ensure transactions are promptly treated.
6. Monitoring payment to creditors by ensuring that bills are promptly treated taking into cognizance the budget provision
7. Ensuring proper filing and retrieval of documents
8. Ensuring that all returned cheques are timely reported to management
9. Daily preparation of group’s cash position report
10. Ensuring Adequate control of cash receipt on behalf of the company and duly reported to management
11. Ensuring timely deposit of cash receipt and proper filing of deposit tellers
12. Ensure that a good working relationship with treasury department in all receipt from borrowing are properly and correctly reported
13. Carry out other duties as may be deem necessary by the head of Department.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
OND with 2-3 years experience. Knowledge of computer and accounting software is an added advantage.


SALARY
Salary is between N480,000 to N540,000 per annum
