SHARE WOMEN AND CHILDREN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (SWOCCI) is a fast growing Non-Governmental organization with operating Head office in Jos-Nigeria, which began intervention in the year 1996 as a Broad-Based SUPPORT GROUP for persons living with and/or affected by HIV and AIDS. It was known as SHARE SUPPORT GROUP.
The organization focuses on:

• Child protection and survival interventions, especially for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC)
• Women and Youth Empowerment with skills and livelihood diversification
• Community Empowerment through deploying participatory approaches to development
• Peace Building Initiatives that promote cohesion in diversity among Community people

Vision:
A world without poverty where the Child, Widow and indeed the entire Community are free from discrimination and have right to live in dignity
SWOCCI envisages a world of healthy, literate and economically vibrant people with equal opportunities for survival and development for every child, woman and youth
Aim:
To improve the general wellbeing of widows and children (OVC), in focal communities and society at large to attain their full potential in life

SWOCCI currently partner and collaborate with the Institute of Human Virology, Maryland, USA and Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN) as part of US President’s Emergency Plans for AID Relief (PEPFAR), which is committed to implementing the AIDS Care and Treatment in Nigeria (ACTION) Project.
The project includes the building of Nigeria’s capacity for HIV care and treatment, works through its Community Medicine department to implement Orphaned & Vulnerable Children (OVC), Care and Support Services in the following States: Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Kogi, Niger, Fct Abuja, Edo, Rivers, Enugu, Kaduna, Ebonyi, Cross Rivers, Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi and Lagos states.
