Onward Fisheries, is a business of frozen food storage and distribution. Onward fishery has their seafood processing unit in Lagos, Nigeria. We are seriously in search of a Marketing Office, Logistic Officer, Administrative Office and Store Keeper.

Job Title: Marketing Officer.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves customers by selling products; meeting customer needs.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Title: Logistic Officer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities:
As a logistics Officer you'll need to:

  • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs;
  • Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers;
  • Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions;
  • Continually try to improve and develop business performance, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.

Qualifications:

A first level university degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related fields and experience in areas such as transport or logistic operations/management, supply chain management, etc. may be an added advantage.
Work Experience:
At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics operations.



Job Title: Administrative Office

Job Description
Responsible for the day-to-day general administration of the company, assisting the
Chief Executive and supporting the staff team.


Main Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and administrative support to the company
  • Administer the petty cash system and ensure appropriate record keeping.
  • Prepare contracts for suppliers as advised.
  • Assist in matters relating to marketing and publicity for the Company
  • Maintain close links and inform the Chief Executive of all issues likely to affect the company operation.
  • Work alongside other staff to contribute to the development of the company Operation.




Qualification and Requirements

  • At least first degree in Accounting or related course.
  • Proficient knowledge in any accounting software and Microsoft excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 1 -5 years working experience.


Job Title: Store Keeper

The Storekeeper, under the direct supervision of a Component Manager, works independently in the daily planning and organizing of all food service deliveries and shipments from a centrally located storeroom.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verbally communicates daily with Component Manager/Supervisor.
  • Provides "on the job training" to new and subordinate staff.
  • Ensures adequate food and related supplies are in sufficient supply to meet menu requirements.
  • Requisitions food and supplies from approved suppliers authorized by Component Manager.
  • Ensures and verifies that the goods received are the correct goods invoiced and in the proper quantities and weights ordered.
  • Inspects quality of goods received and arranges replacement/or credit for damaged/poor quality goods.
  • Verifies correct supplier pricing received as per contracted and quoted prices.
  • Practices and ensures safe food handling including proper storage and temperature storage.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles at the building loading dock.
  • Responsible for the correct assembly, retrieval, receiving, delivery and shipping of Catering orders as instructed by the component Manager/Supervisor.
  • Maintains a neat, well-organized storeroom at par stock levels.

Qualification and Requirements:

The minimum qualifications necessary for acceptable (satisfactory) job performance are:

  • Successful completion of high school.
  • A minimum of three years of directly related experience as a Lead in a high volume storeroom required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a load up to 25 kg without strain.
  • Must have a full medical examination.
