Main Purpose of the Job
  • To provide the CIB VAF team with the required Sales and Credit Support on VAF transactions.
  • To liaise with all CIB relationship Managers attending customer calls on VAF deals in the absence of the CIB VAF Sales team. Facilitate deal process from origination to conclusion. Provide Administrative support to the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BSc
  • Possess a basic knowledge of the leasing business from origination, processing, administration, marketing and termination. Perfect understanding of the bank’s processes.
  • Abreast with VAF Product offerings, good Credit origination skills and other Credit Criteria.
  • Possess market knowledge/intelligence.
  • Computer literacy, credit evaluation skills.
  • Not less than 2 years experience in equipment finance/credit origination/sales support function

Group Finance is a corporate function that serves the overall Standard Bank group across a variety of accounting disciplines – internal and external reporting, budgeting and planning, tax, technical accounting and investor relations. It also runs the bank’s capital management and regulatory reporting teams and the financial shared services processing centre. Group Finance has its own, dedicated SAP technical support and development team and a new financial systems and process improvement programme team known as Refine.

Purpose of the Job
Management of the Regulatory reporting function. Ensure that all external reporting requirements are timeously met, including preparation of periodic regulatory returns in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, CBN and other local regulatory reporting instructions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant or degree in Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • An understanding of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s regulations and reporting requirements.
  • An understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Nigerian Accounting Standards (SAS)
  • Management experience.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of personal computers and software packages such as MS Office suite applications and SAP.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in change management and has the ability to positively lead change.

PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide a basic, branch-based business banking sales and service facility to a portfolio of small business customers requiring uncomplicated and standardized financial product solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of a degree from a reputable University
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Banking preferably in relationship/transactional banking
  • Business Assistant experience to the Business Manager is ideal. Previous experience within the personal/ consumer banking environment as a Customer Consultant/ Personal Banker and/or Enquiries Officer is preferable. This experience provides an understanding of how to interact with and sell to personal banking customers, how to open bank accounts, as well as how the principles of scored lending are applied in practice.
  • Experience in Credit origination
  • Previous experience running a small business
