Responsibilities

  • The Security Manager will report to the Project Manager and lead the daily Security activities in the project to ensure that all COMPANY Security requirements defined by the client are strictly adhered to by all parties on the project site and all logistics base sites
  • The role reports to the Engineering Manager and will be based in Lagos but will be required to travel a lot to site in Port Harcourt Establish and implement Security Plan(s), Security Bridging documents and Security procedures to ensure that all Security aspects/ requirements within the area of activity are properly identified, assessed and implemented in accordance with Security assessments and identified Security risks.
  • Manage all aspects of Security at work locations, Travel Security, Supply Chain Security and Security Emergency preparedness.
  • Implement a robust Security Risk assessment system and to monitor the Security situation in area of operation on a continuous basis.
  • Participate in Project Risk Reviews as required Implement and follow up a Security reporting system
  • Conducting and follow up Security Audits and Reviews
  • Conduct monitoring of implementation of required Security standard and verification at VENDORS and reporting back to Project
  • Secure proper Lessons Learned and experience transfer
  • Participate in Contractor s Security activities as required.


Requirements

  • Holds a first degree in engineering or must have a BSc or HND in Psychology or Management related courses. MBA will be an added advantage in a relevant management field or discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in security management and surveillance within the heavy industry or n oil & gas sector.
  • Must be able to interface with different levels of management to communicate security measures (i.e. Customers, Vendors/Contractors (Security companies).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan ahead and take initiative in resolving problems
  • Ability to direct and lead others.
  • Must be self-motivated and a self starter.
  • Detail-oriented.
