Job Title: Internal Control Manager

Job Location: Ibadan

Job Responsibilities:


  • Plan, organize and carry out the internal controls function;
  • Perform internal audits of departments/functional areas;
  • Perform operational reviews of key business processes to identify deficiencies and weaknesses and make recommendations for improvements;
  • Monitor adherence to policies and approved budgets;
  • Provide recommendations for strengthening internal controls in order to lower identified risks;
  • Provide recommendations for implementing “best practices” in instances where policies, procedures and processes do not exist or should be improved upon;
  • Provide training to staff on internal controls and compliance requirements;
  • Follow up on implementation of recommendations as approved by the Board and/or Management;
  • Conduct any reviews or investigations as may be requested by the Board and/or Management.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Professional accounting qualification ( ACCA or equivalent)
  • Audit experience in reputable audit or manufacturing firm
  • 8 years relevant work experience in reputable firms(Experience in writing internal policies/procedures and process evaluation/documentation a plus)
